My scoring average was around 74 based on my stroke play. I have been doing match play for the last few weeks, mostly 9 hole games, and my scoring average is now 63. Is the scoring average counting match play scores even though matches may end a few holes before 9? Also many putts get conceded...how does match play affect scoring averages?

Not at all. Strokeplay only is used. Par 3 and 5 is ignored as are any CC custom courses.

Wrong. Below Legend, winning matches against higher tiered players (and placing well in tournaments) can indeed lower you average, sometimes significantly. That's how I got to Legend "prematurely:" placing well in Tour Master Ready Goes.

    +1 K!

"placing well" means "winning credits", which may shorten the time in one tier!

+1 K and a. Winning credits in any format seems to send you down that road of early advancement.
