kavvz , i wont zip it .. i am entitled to offer as the way i see it ... constructive criticism..have you like myself spent weeks putting together a team of players  only to find out just before its all going to start that its a competition you dont want to sanction or organise in your club or even in play in ..... because i have and to say i am disappointed is an understatement.... so maybe you can keep your comments to yourself ,

Sounds like you didn't do your due diligence. Had you done so you would have known Paul put this together to afford players the opportunity to meet new friends and have fun competing. Handicaps are a way of drawing in those that would normally sit on the sidelines and they happen to work well in this competition.

You're a fly in Paul's ointment and TBH, tyvm for dropping out as you don't possess the right attitude for this.  3 years of WC, 3 different winners and teams are coming out of the woodwork to play. Enjoy the sideline.

Frankly lmao , i didnt get to where i am today to play against a (stuck in my throat) ...........cough ......tour master!

    Where you are today ?

You have Legends in your squad, one or two who have probably just tiered up recently. How do they feel about your [cough] remark.

This has always been open to whatever tier. Some top class friendly TMs are in a lot of clubs, and i would rather play alongside one of them any day than someone who thinks he has "done it all", plays and does not join in with forum banter.

Would you rather have that ?

But back to original question........where you are today ?

Enlighten us all please as we see a TM in disguise....or i do.

OMG, all that blather and it turns out he's a brand new TL, 7 years in the making!! Now that just makes the whole diatribe a comedy.  LOL

Calm down, gentlemen, it´s only a game, a fun thing, nothing to take it too serious.

In this competition there will be playing 36 teams of 12 players. That are 432 players participate. You will never get 432 individual persons under one hat so that all of them share one opinion. Some want something this way, some others want it that way and another will not like both ways. That is normal, so what? In the end there will be rules how to do it and those count for everyone then. That is not only the best way to do, it´s the only way. In this case Finny, who is doing a great job, has made the rules with assistance of some other guys, based on the expieriences of the World Cups before. It all runs under one big goal: Let`s have some fun.

Now, for myself I can say: I am not interested in winning any trophy. I dont care who or what my oponents will be. For me there are no higher and lower lifeforms at WGT. I hope to meet some kind persons on the greens and have a good time.

I have a good friend here at WGT. He is at legend tier and not the best player ever. He is 76 years old and one of the friendliest souls I ever met. Always funny, always relaxed, making jokes, never rude or such. Calm and kind with a lot of humor. When we play alts we sometimes lose because he has this special relationship with roughs and bunkers. So, would I prefere to play with one of the top dogs here instead of my friend, just to win more games? No, not at all! Results are overrated. I enjoy the rounds with my friend very much, and that is all that counts for me.

Looking forward to the upcoming world cup. Sure it will be a highlight and big fun.

Whoooaaah, Jim. Are you saying there can be stat related irony found in his post?

    Sorry, couldn't resist ;-))))))))))))

    Edit: P.S.: Excellent post, Friedel.

    Well said Friedel

But your friend only puts you in the bunkers so he can pinch your sandwiches out of your bag.

if they can play twice a month and respect the tournament, and the hours and hours of hard work that goes in to this, well dont bother entering would be my advice. didnt realise there was so many world renound superstars in the game !!!!
