    hilan55:

    WGT once quoted the average age of its mostly male membership as about 44.

    So its understandable that many of you don't like bright shiny things, especially since the ex wife took the ones you used to own.

    Well, it wasn't bright, or shiny, but it was a damn nice house in Grosse Pointe.

    Actually it was mostly males well into their 50's when I read it...

    LMAO

    The only bright shiny thing I lost was the my shiny pen I used to sign the papers with, I was so happy I left it on the lawyers desk! My ex-wife still works today, my 2nd wife never worked, she didn't have too!

    It doesn't even need to be 50/50.  If it's 70 purists and 30 gimmick that's 30% more revenue for WGT.  Get it?  People like the gimmicks in the same way you don't, so again if you expand your thoughts instead of it always being me me me, it's not difficult to understand why WGT does some of the things they do.  Right?

    NOOOOO, wrong! How in the name of g0d do you come up with 30% more revenue, please tell me you don't actually think WGT's bottom line is that dependent on how many credits people spend! {{shaking head in disbelief}}

    It is probably more like .2% purists, and 99.8% gimmick anyway....but the purists stay forever, the others fade away for the latest, greatest trend.

    AND for the record, I honestly don't care, what I "prefer" is very different from what I expect here, nonetheless I don't sweat the small things I have no control over, EVER!

    Dan, seriously you're nitpicking and arguing semantics now.  Anything WGT can sell increases revenue so I don't know what you're getting at there.  You're not getting revenue and profit mixed up are you?

    Right, so if it really is .2% purists doesn't that make it even more attractive for WGT to get gimmicky?  Has to be, which makes threads like this even more of a waste of time.

    Don't like gimmicks? Don't use 'em. Don't like clashes? Don't play 'em. Don't like the little feed back we get from WGT / Topgolf as to user suggestions? Play less. Don't like all the crap they throw at us we don't want or need? Play less. Don't like all the glitches that don't get fixed? Play less. Don't like all the complaints about it in the forums? Play less. Don't like green speeds that lie, winds that lie, putt breaks that lie ? Play less. Simples. It's still the best golf sim out there ,an' I gotta admit, I love to hate it. Doc:)
