I'm afraid my chance of winning (ha ha) has gone after an amazing 10 shots

on #9 after being 40 ft from the hole after 2 shots. I was in the valley to the right of green 3 times and only one was because I didn't hit the chip/flop out of it hard enough.

by the way, watch those flops into the wind as they are going much further than expected.

    Bootsnbra:
The sad thing is I know you would of got that extra birdie you needed and qualified.

Less forum time and more playing time might have gotten him that extra birdie, too.

    just sayin'

The qualifying is listed the same way for every one of these events.....not sure why it would change. Did you have the same problem with the US Open qualifying?

I didn't think so.....its been common knowledge that the tourney starts on monday morning......why would there still be qualifying?

Common sense should have some play here.....it has always been the same.......

    +1

Saw that, lol.  He has as many forum posts as ranked rounds played.

Like ranting his litigious little tush, claiming he has a $1000 (my estimate) an hour DC lawyer buddy that would file a frivolous court injunction and waste his precious time. Yeah, sure man.   I'm sure WGT is quaking in their boots.

Not sure exactly what the issue is, I thought the time frame was pretty well defined by WGT and the countdown clock on the play screen lets you know exactly when the time ends.  In this case many of the WGT players are in time zones that overlap a day so a day ending at 7 PM western time would end on the next day in England for example.

Agreed- end of day is different depending on where you're located and WGT is on the west coast in the US.  The rules (for those who bothered to read them) clearly state what time the qualifying ends, and as others have posted, it always ends on the Sunday of the event (U.S. Open, British, etc).  One player in particular lashed out at WGT because he had planned to spend all day Monday trying to qualify, only to find that the door was closed.  We did have a month to try to make it in.

I shot a 58 one of the first times I played the course (got lucky with a 27 on the back), and never improved once the cut went to 57.  On Sunday (THE last day to qualify), I needed to birdie 18 for 57, but missed.  Fun event that the WGT runs for these 'majors'.  Now what do I do ;)

That has to be the funniest thing I have read on these forums, going to file against WGT because you can not comprehend time and dates. I don't post on the forum very much but I had to respond to this rubbish. As CMcCartney727 Stated  We did have a month to try to make it in."  FFS YOU FOOL!!!!!!

Agreed ....there was plenty of time to qualify . I find it ridiculous to complain about it now. Not Wgt's fault you left it till the last minute.....i can tell you that i and most everybody else worked hard to get a good score in early and then continued to keep checking to see if it was going to be good enough.....RUBBISH!...is correct...

Hey JLB .. when you guys go to court ... just remember the words of Johnny Cochrane

"If the golf glove doesn't fit ... you must acquit" ...

Greats rounds from Funkyjunkie and StonecoldKiller going under 60. I wasn't sure it was going to happen but it has. Well done. Great shooting as well to the people sitting 3-4 back heading into rd 2. Quite impressive, that there seems to be not alot of WDs as 140 people posted (esp in these conditions). (Not sure if WDs show up). Best of luck in round 2 everyone and hopefully those putters are working.
