    SlicedPepper:

And the moral of the story? Check your equipment before starting a round.

    Your so so right.

I was on a good 'single play' round in a cc tourny.

Aside from my obvious error in repeatedly buying, WGT should not let this happen. Another Glitch to earn money.

And....what if a player has just dropped an ace or back to back double eagles or a record 120 ft. putt ? Just quit anyway ? It's pretty hard to roll over and quit with any of that stuff in the 'kitty' no matter what wgt glitches pop up. I wouldn't quit .

O.k. - then you make the decision to buy more or to play with Starters. But it's pathetic to come here afterwards and whine and cry for WGT's reply which won't happen as you know after 2,000+ posts.

And the subject looks like WGT assaulted her :(

My response had zero to do with making the decision whether to continue the game with or without starter balls. I was addressing your comment saying ..."why didn't you just quit?". I found that comment borderline ridiculous, given all the reasons to continue a game. We have all finished a game without the balls we started with...for various reasons.

Her history shows 3 purchases of Nike balls in a row.

Oy! I forgot about that part of the bug. You'd click "buy now" and it wouldn't register so you click again. It still doesn't register so you play on or quit. Then you notice you have 6 more balls than you started with back in the game client!  LOL

If a new sleeve does not register on the first click I "save and quit" round and refresh/reload the game client window. Click "continue" and it usually resolves the problem and the new sleeve shows.

Yes, you named possible reasons to continue, but none of these reasons was given in the OP. In absence of those reasons, it might be good to quit if the game doesn't work for unknown reasons.

Point is, this is a decision (sic!) that we take when the purchase doesn't register, and the question "to quit or not to quit" is a legitimate part of that decision.
    I posed that question.

No dark forces involved as the subject may imply.

One thing most of you seem to be overlooking is the fact that she used up her last ball. Why didn’t she buy a sleeve when she got Down to her last ball?

I can think of 1 scenario where she wouldn’t be able to buy a sleeve. As most of us knew it here is a slight bug where the buy now message doesn’t pop up as soon as you use up your last ball but only pops up on the next tee. If she lost her last ball before finishing the hole she will get the message about finishing with the rock or buying a sleeve of what you were playing.

if that or something similar didn’t happen then she must have ignored the last ball message and the consequences are squarely on her shoulders

    I posed that question.

And Stobsbee has the exact right answer.  :-)
