I am in the market for a tablet and would like to hear opinions from those that already have one. I don't care about playing WGT on it, I want it to be able to read digital content like the daily newspaper and watch movies on Netflix.

I have been looking at a Samsung Galaxy Tab A SM-T580NZKAXAR 10.1-Inch 16 GB, Tablet. I already have an Android phone so this would be familiar to me. Is this a decent one?

    Thank you.

The Wirecutter does unbiased / trusted reviews on just about everything.  Give them a look.

I've bought stuff they've recommended before and have never been disappointed.

I just got the new galaxy view,   18.4 inches,,,,wow

It's preloaded for netflix, hulu, and alot more.  Wgt plays great on it, everything is huge.  $375 well spent in my opinion.  Streams movies great, loads fast, too

I own it, and it works like a charm.

Still, I regret not to have chosen the Tab S, because that one has HDMI connectivity (to TV screens), but the A type doesn't.

Can I cast it to my Bluetooth enabled HDTV, also a Samsung? I can from my Android phone.

That's Screen Mirroring or "Quick Connect" in Samsung lingo. Should be possible with the A Tab but not with my 2010 TV :(

Looks like a Chromecast device to add WLAN access to my TV is the thing I need - just ordered one as a Christmas gift to /self ;)
