Hey everyone. Rather than point it out post by post let me just say it here... They just raised greens fees here by 200%, Where in the world would anyone put up with that kind of BS? What if your real golf course raised fees by 200% or anywhere you go? I've been here 12 years (I had an older account) and they keep making changes that make this game worse and worse. When I first started you had to have a good Average to move up tiers, now you need experience points. When I first started you could play your friend 18 holes if you wanted. ONE HOLE. That's just crazy. This game used to be about being close to real golf but they only care about lining their pockets. Yes, it's a business but give your customers some credit and stop being greedy!

Where else do they provide users/players opportunities to earn free currency to play their game or use their product?

For example, everyday I log on to my mobile app, it gives me free coins, which I never use. Trust me, if I could give the coins away, I would. I have no need for them.

In other words, if we're going to complain about WGT's "greed," we have to acknowledge how they provide a way to earn both coins and credits for free. Also, if they were truly "greedy," then there would be no way to play the game for free at all.

Hey, I get the change is unpopular with a lot of mobile players. But my goodness, the rhetoric on here over the past few days has been a bit over the top.

Is this a mobile thing with green fees?

I believe he's talking about the cost of entry for each of the coin rooms.

I don't know that I would call it greens fees because I thought the idea was to play someone else, with the winner taking all. To me, it seems more like a "bet" than "greens fees."

But I guess I don't know that much about how those games work.

You are righr, you bet so many coins against your opponent , except you only win a portion back.  Ie  one room, you wager 10000 coins, your opponent wagers 10000 coins, if you win, you receive 18000 coins.  I think, the green fees thing, is in that of a turf war game. Each game you enter costs you a cc pass.  Used to be, after your free one is used, 37 credits for 3 holes. 12 and one third credit per hole.  Now it's 37 credits for one hole. Many might think it's crazy, but there are a lot of people who really enjoy the coin games.  Personally, I don't buy into the garbage that many, many of us in wgt land asked for the reduction in holes played for each room.  Play less, for more credits?  Really?

I find it kind of ironic that mobile has sort of taken it up the Hershey Highway with the latest changes, the pc platform has been on that road for some time now. Put your phones down and come play on the pc, we might all stand a small chance of being slighty happier, lol.

I get it now, it's just like the Facebook backgammon game-Lord of the Board. You get free coins and then play games in rooms from 100 to 30,000 coins. The game whacks you a certain number of coins in the payout (never paid attn to how much.) Fun waste of time if you like backgammon. LOL

It's a 10% Vig on the total bet. I don't get the green fees statement. It doesn't cost anything to play the coin matches except coins. and i can't believe many people actually buy them. They are only good as currency to bet with.

I've got around 150 million of the things. Plenty of other people that have more.

So i say again. what green fee? If you wish to burn passes for turf wars well that's optional. so that doesn't count either.

First off, which "green fees" are you talking about?

They are on Cabo and Whistler but nowhere else!

Not quite true - if you play ranked strokeplay (e.g. via the "courses" tab on mobile), your average will count. Only if you stick with the "mobile" games, XPs will count in...

Disagreed - you may as well play 9 or 18 holes ranked with your friends - learn your options!

Select Starter balls, refrain from buying new clubs - you will be there, restrictions applying...
