LOL. Alosso nails it and Mythanpros gets it. Funny thing about the backgammon is is that they have the same kind of spin-the-wheel thing for credits every time you log on but that's only after you X out of 3-4 great deals on coins for real money. Totally can't imagine ever spending anything real.  LOL

150 million? Who ever has that many? I have 56,000 or so. Most I’ve ever had was 200,000.

I loved the 4500c 9-hole game. Now the ‘cheapest’ 9-holer is 50,000 entry fee. So that’s only 1 game I could play if I loose. Then I’ve got very little left to play decent rooms. So that would take a LONG time to play the other rooms.

So I can see why some want to buy coins.

I'm talking mobile and yes I know you could play 9 or 18 but now on mobile you can't play 18. That was my point. And when I first played on PC and first started on mobile you tier depended on your average and had nothing to do with your level. Moving up levels (then) only opened up items in the Pro Shop. And the greens fees are to play head to head on the mobile game. If you don't know what your talking about, don't jump in acting "the expert".

Just out of curiosity, how do you know that players are advancing solely because of XPs?

Maybe they're advancing based on wins in the coin matches. A person can advance all the way to Legend tier (IIRC) through match play. This is to help prevent sandbagging. Possibly, WGT is doing the same with those who win coin matches.

If that was your point, then why didn't you just say that? Reading the title of this thread and your opening post...I can't figure out what you're upset about. Is it the new one hole format, the rise in greens fees, the tiering up process or WGT's greed that has you all worked up?

Practice what you preach and quit with the superfluous bs...because telling people you have been on this game for 12 years (WGT hasn't been on the internet for 12 years, the demo was dropped in 2007 and the beta in 2008) doesn't make you an expert either...it just makes you a liar and kind of hard to take seriously.

Go back to page 1 and read Alosso's post...and get your facts straight next time.

    Merry Christmas

I think, the green fees thing, is in that of a turf war game. Each game you enter costs you a cc pass.  Used to be, after your free one is used, 37 credits for 3 holes. 12 and one third credit per hole.  Now it's 37 credits for one hole.

OK. I suppose one could call those "greens fees." I wouldn't. As you point out, a player receives one free pass.

Besides, I don't see any purchase activity for the OP. So, I still don't know what he's calling greens fees. He's certainly not buying CC passes. Again, if it's playing in the coin rooms in a head-to-head match that doesn't qualify as "greens fees" (IMO).

Finally, every day, WGT gives players free coins.

Not sure about PC version - didn’t even know theere was a pc version - but in the mobile versions, it costs you silver coins to play any game. The current 3-hole game is I think 2500c. ‘Green fees’ I guess you could say.

Every game costs ‘money’. The minimum  9-hole ‘green fees’ is 50,000c to play. . Total joke. I have 58,000. Risky to play. So I’m stuck with the useless 1 and 3 hole game.

I don’t know why they can’t appease everyone and just have a low / high cost format for 1, 3 and 9 holes. So simple....

You can play regular stoke-play ranked rounds for free. Or you can play people on your friends’ list for free. There are other options to the coin rooms. And they don’t cost anything.

Regular stroke play against nobody - zzzzzz

And against 'friends' who may not be online - zzzzz

The coin rooms are the only way to play someone competitively, regularly. And easy.

But the affordable 'fun' rooms have been reduced to 1-hole - zzzzz.

And the minimum 9-hole game - good test of skill - has gone from  an affordable 2500c  to 50,000c. Thats ridiculous.

Hey everyone. Rather than point it out post by post let me just say it here... They just raised greens fees here by 200%, Where in the world would anyone put up with that kind of BS? What if your real golf course raised fees by 200% or anywhere you go? I've been here 12 years (I had an older account) and they keep making changes that make this game worse and worse. When I first started you had to have a good Average to move up tiers, now you need experience points. When I first started you could play your friend 18 holes if you wanted. ONE HOLE. That's just crazy. This game used to be about being close to real golf but they only care about lining their pockets. Yes, it's a business but give your customers some credit and stop being greedy!
