    JonnoAUS:

But the affordable 'fun' rooms have been reduced to 1-hole - zzzzz.

And the minimum 9-hole game - good test of skill - has gone from  an affordable 2500c  to 50,000c. Thats ridiculous.

But I just looked. There's a room called Beverly Hills. It's listed as a 3-hole stroke play format with an entry fee of 2,500 coins. What's wrong with that one?

that's not a greens fee. It's a bet between two players with house taking 10% cut.

By that belief system because I win more than I lose WGT is paying me to play. (they aren't).

and i can't believe people buy those things.  They are virtually useless except to now upgrade apparel. (which is cheap).

I pay to upgrade every piece of apparel i have when they level because there isn't anything else to spend the silver coins on.

hoping they one day create some kind of exchange rate for silver coins to credits. (then they'd be worth something and people would buy them to gamble with to try to win credits)

I think because of the huge mobile environment, which pretty much includes all smartphones as held by kids, the gambling aspect has to remain worthless or you'd be opening a huge can of worms.

IIRC, there are states with laws that preclude online gambling and the argument has always been that credits had a play in gambling. Worthless coins are apparently a way around this  allowing anybody, anywhere, any age to play.

    Jim,

I think you're on to something there. Since the coins are worth less than Confederate nickels, hard to call it gambling, even if you're Jeff Sessions.

By the way, I'm starting to like the one hole games. You can play on a short break, and the tie-breaker is a welcome addition.

I find it kind of ironic that mobile has sort of taken it up the Hershey Highway with the latest changes, the pc platform has been on that road for some time now. Put your phones down and come play on the pc, we might all stand a small chance of being slighty happier, lol.

    I totally agree.

Having the cheep 9 hole back along with the 3s for those who want to play them is a great idea, but keep the 1 holes for the gamblers. I like 9 holes, it takes me 3 to settle into a game. Have the playoffs for the short games and put the ties back for the 9 holes. Used to like to split a game well played by a lower tier player, can' do that anymore without loosing. TURF WARS kinda ruined the concept of fun play in the coin rooms, made it more dog eat dog. Just my 2 coins worth.
