some of us aren't afraid of spending

And I for one am truly thankful to those who spend actual money here. If not for those individuals that open up their own pocket books, I am afraid that WGT would cease to exist.

I enjoy this game and have for many years. I am one of the frugal ones that use Free Credit Offers to play this game. However, I also understand that this is a business. And a business that does not turn a profit will not be around for long.

    Happy New Year everyone.

Don't sell yourself short, Don.    Really makes little difference whether someone is using credit offers or credit cards......   Trust me, every time you click on a video, an offer, or complete a survey; WGT get's a "taste" of the action....      Truth be known, it's likely and probable that more revenue is generated in this manner........

    You're very welcome Don  :  )

The options to earn free credits are pretty few and far between over here in Europe, I'd rather throw a bit of money at the game now and then and spend my time playing, rather than doing surveys that usually don't work out anyway.

I try not to think about how much that "bit of money now and then" has probably added up to though..........

Happy New Year to you all, may your drives be straight, your approaches like darts and your putts give the ball a bad case of agoraphobia.

During nice weather, I usually play real golf, 2 or 3 times a week.  The amount of money spent on here, is only a pittance, compared to that.  So for me to enjoy golf all year, I'm still saving money.  This is cheap compared to course fees, IRL.

I used to live about a 2 minute drive from a 9 hole course, membership for a year there cost me £180.  At a rough guess I think I spend about €60 a year here so this is pretty good value when you consider the number of hours spent playing.

Certainly cheaper than my addiction to single malt whisky.........

Pinehurst #2, the real course, is just under $400, to play 18, and Pebble beach is about the same, the average courses in Chicagoland, start at $65 to$ 125.  The  $65 courses are compared to goat pastures.  There's nothing wrong in  watching videos, and doing surveys, if that's your thing, my time is worth so much more than what the credits you earn, by doing those.  To each their own.

    kavvz:

+1 those that have bought either probably don't think they are ridiculous products.

I would hope NOT. My goodness.

I bought equipment that I was absolutely pi**ed because the comparison in precision, distance, etc, was NOT worth the $30 - $40.

Back on topic - The Clash event and the Premium membership are huuuge "quick" money grabs. Gotta hand to em. 2 very alluring money grab ideas.

Power to the people, power to the people right on. People obviously can spend their money whatever way they feel fit but at the same time people can express their opinions on that product and should not receive flack for expressing that opinion.

Well hell.....   if it's gonna be wishing, dreaming and grasping at straws......lets just toss in Augusta, Royal County Down, Royal Melbourne, Cypress Point and Muirfield.....

    or..........

perhaps, we could encourage WGT/TopGolf to simply  get off the "high horse", renegotiate Oakmont (which is already "play ready")  and offer something the community has already asked for...............
