  I really didn't mean to drop out of the game, my CPU overheated and shut my laptop down. Just wanted to say I'm sorry

  If you play with your laptop on a flat surface, prop the back up with a small book or equivalent and make sure your fan is clean. They become dust magnets if you ignore them and the efficiency goes down. Propping up the back slightly increases the airflow to the fan and helps.

  I use a $20 cool pad powered through a USB port and that really makes a difference.

  I wonder if you could prop one of those twin fan cooling pads up beside you and plug it in and let it run during the summer time , if it would cool you like a regular fan, albeit with a little less breeze ... :-)

  I sit my laptop on  a cake cooling rack & it works a treat!
