Duties of club officers

  I started my club back in Nov  we are small, but always looking for others.  We are 19 strong, and in the last clash, 10 played.  I won't ask you to join, cuz I won't poach, but if you leave your club, check us out.  8 to 10 tourneys a week, just started a league play.  If not, good luck in finding what you seek.

  Those Scots don't realize what a great resource you are! Well done, LouisPeter! Personally, I don't consider it poaching to see if someone active wants to leave a slow/dead-ish club, so invitation sent. Questions about "fit"? Just let me know . . . Thank you! AKD

  There is a club forum for each club which can be a good source of information. Researching the club forum one will find that somewhere between 12 to 15% of any club will use the club forum on an average. 

  Most players just want shot pal and putter pal and as long as they have that they are happy. Have tried all kind of tricks to get members involved in club activities but some or most just want to be left alone and play. Once we offered 400 credits in a drawing if we could get 60 members to post to a forum post. We gave 30 days for this to happen and the 400 credits died for lack of post. Let a clash start and 80 or so will play with no notice and it cost credits to play. Club tournaments have a good turnout most of the time but creating tournaments and watching the result can tell what the club likes to play.

  I still believe that each club will have several clicks inside the club. That is players that like to play with certain players and will not look for others to play with. If someone finds the key that will get a club playing together as a club share the info.

  Totally agree, I've tried everything to get members to get involved in our forums as this is where all our PGA Tour events, Special Events, Tournament signup Sheets for Sponsors & members entry. Plus a ton of other stuff. Very little participation even with high level players. How else are we to get members informed about whats going in the club. Even tried the massive email out to all members. I know that  alot of owners do use this criteria upon recruiting new members as i do. I have accepted that its not going to change. my 2 cents

  Can a Director accept any club request to join the CC or is that only for the owner to decide?

  "Invite New Members" is a property which may be assigned to any membership class in the owner's tools. I'm guessing that this would include invitation but not acceptance.

  I believe only the owner can accept invites to join a CC if the owner tools are set so that any requests have to be approved before joining.

  These settings can be changed, in the owner tools, so that anyone requesting to join a CC will automatically join upon request. Only the owner has permission to change these settings.
