When someone reaches any tier, it takes so many rounds to have our scoring average  become stable  (average won't go higher) if we have a high scoring round

I made Champion, so how many rounds as a Champion, for my average do that?

200 for "saturation" but no threshold to tier up - strictly by (never happening) invitation.

Par 3 and Par 5 courses don't count in that 200.

Don't forget CC Custom courses - excluded as well!

    (Thanks for the reminder)

@ Bob Congrats on the move up .  Also once you hit saturation lookout . Your average will start dropping like a ton of bricks  for the first few round s . Then it will begin to settle down again . So dont worry about it too much as now theres no where else to go .

Tour Champion is just a wasted dream and money grab by WGT . There are at least 200 players who should be Tour Champion by now . So the by invitation only is nothing but a farce .

But congrats again on the move up and dont worry we think less of you for the move . :-)

I thank everyone who took the time to answer my question.  Including reminding me that the word "saturation" is what I was looking for.

200 rounds for saturation after becoming a Tour Legend, and it's also 200 rounds for saturation after becoming a Champion.  I'm embarrassed to not having just guessed that.  That's my aging brain.

I'm taking a break by playing Par 3 rounds for now.  Piling tee shots on the pins, trying for two shot to give me Hole in Ones, #'s 24 & 25.  Haven't found the right touch or let's be real, the right luck so far.

There's a golf joke about skill verses luck, that goes something like this.  Golfer plays 17 holes of bad shots, then on the 18th holes makes one real, real good shot.  He doesn't think that maybe that real, real good shot was LUCK!

Have fun on WGT in 2018.  A year that looks like it will disappoint us because a couple of things that we loved getting added to WGT, will be missing this year.
