I wish everyone would stop whinging and just get on with it. I've read whinging comments about the earlier technical issues (no excuse for it but sh*t happens sometimes and it was fixed and it impacted veryone more or less the same). I've heard whinging about Set of the Week clubs. Yes, you pay for your normal clubs but tough sh*t, you can't use them for 2 whole days. Get over it. I've read whinging comments about the new bonus point scoring. I'm stoked that there is a change to scoring. Gives me something else to think about. Was boring and predictable before. And I've read whinging comments and conspiracy theories about The Georgian. I'm not a member and never would be. I like the challenge of, one day, trying to knock off the top team.

I read a post earlier on this forum from one of their members. He/she talked about them working as a Club, not as individuals. They win because (a) they have the highest participation rate - they have pride in being the best and never let issues like using Set of the Week clubs or technical issues get in the way of winning - as a Club and (b) they have a lot of great golfers.

It took them years to build the club to,where it is. Don't begrudge them the fact that everyone participates and they are handy golfers.

I am Owner of Blood and Fire. We are an Up and coming club and take pride in doing our best. We are currently second in Clash. Our members haven't whinged and used as an excuse any of the aforementioned issues. They have turned up in big numbers for the pride of the club amd themselves.

Its a game. It's fun. It's not life or death. Yes, take personal pride in whatbyour club achieves but stop your bitching and either don't play (and let others play in relative peace) or get out there and show pride in yourself and your club and get over any "difficulties".

thanks for updating us on being locked out issue during recent Club Clashes. This was discouraging some of us not to continue to play in Club Clashes. Now we are back playing our lovely WGT game of Golf.

I have to say that I personally think SOTW Clash was a good idea in theory and does create more of a level "playing" field. The lower tier players, who don't have the "best" clubs will participate more than they usually would as they're not trying to compete against people with the "top" clubs who would normally score a lot better. Even though the end results come down to the quantity of members in each club taking part, rather than the quality of the scores, the bonus's can make a difference to winning or losing. A Pro tier player may not have the best round but could still hole a monstrous putt and gain 300 points for their club. Unfortunately, the connection problems have ruined this Clash.

I agree that playing with SOTW does make you think differently about certain shots as some won't stop on a dime, as they do with your decent clubs, but that does reveal people's strengths & weaknesses. I'm not saying I'm the best player on here, far from it, but I've managed quite a few rounds under par, -6 being my best. I've actually found the clubs ok myself.

I don't see how having SOTW Clash generates less money for WGT, unless people are referring to less people playing. Yes, there probably have been less playing, but probably because of the problems that we all encountered. I know that some of my members haven't played in this Clash, but only because of the connection problems that they encounter WHENEVER they play ANY tournament using SOTW. I also thought that a lot of people on here moaned about how much money they were making out of everyone and getting nothing or very little back! It doesn't cost any more than it would if you played club tournaments with your normal ball to play Clashes if you only use your free passes and normal ball.

If we didn't have the connection problem, would people have moaned so much??? I doubt it very much, but they would have moaned about something else then, like playing the same courses, having to use the same clubs etc. Therefore, I take my hat off to WGT from trying something new and trying to make it a more level "playing" field. As long as the connection problem is now sorted once & for all, I would happily welcome another SOTW Clash. Good job guys...eventually :-)

    Thanks for sharing @kenB...

Given that we are not being asked to play the tips with the clubs it really does show who can adjust and adapt...

AND I had some fun, remember fun?

That is why most of us are here. To enjoy ourselves.

As did I, thanks for reminding us of this too...

We paid with REAL money for our clubs and should use them any time.  Until this set of the week garbage is dropped, no more for me.

One thing they need to do if they continue with the SOTW, is make this like a custom course in that it does not affect your average. My average is saturated, but many are not . They should not be penalized for playing it.

Received NO Credit for Clash round completed at St A's

    To WGT

I just completed a round at St A's. Score was 34, consisting of 3 Pars (15pts), 4 Birdies (48pts), and 2 Bogies (4pts) Total received should be 67pts. I received none!

ALSO, one of my Birdies was the result of a 57ft putt. I should be in the lead for longest Putt, 300pts, but nothing.

How can this be? Can you adjust my stats? Please Help.
