Heh, I would think by now most people would realize that anything that reduces income to WGT is off the table. :-(

It's 100% true. Everything on this game is WAY over priced. I've spent a lot here and feel more ripped off every day.

That's fine that you believe that. But it doesn't make it true. To borrow a quote: While you're entitled to your own opinion, you're not entitled to your own facts.

First, the game can be played (and enjoyed) for free. There's actually no need to spend money to play the game. Nevertheless, if a person wants to score low, then yes, a person does need to purchase better equipment and balls

So, second, for those who live in the US, the game can be played for free. Over the last two years or so, I've spent (conservatively) about 135,000 credits. But during that time period, I haven't spent a single penny of my own money.

If a person lives in the US, the game is only "expensive" if one chooses to make it so. Otherwise, not so much. And that's not an opinion. That's a fact.

actually the sabertooth says 5 meter.....but is way faster than the begginners putter......ive tried it.....

    That's not my experience.

My experience is that the meter speed is the same for both the Sabertooth (L98+) and the Odyssey Versa (Level 70+) when compared to the starter putter.

In meter speed, I've never seen a difference among these three putters, which are all rated 5.0 for meter.

They're having this promotion right now where if you buy 2000 credits you get a free sleeve of Callaway's, so they're not completely opposed to deals or promotions etc.

They could easily expand on that and give players promotions that are worthwhile.

i.e. I'd totally buy 2000 credits right now if I could choose the sleeve of balls.  I don't want those Cally's.  Instead of balls they could credit your account the cost of that sleeve.  They could increase the requirement depending on balls you want.  All sorts of things could be done.

He is right. I just used a stop watch on both the level 98 Sabertooth and the Beginner playing the best of putting sweeps. The beginner averaged 3.5 seconds for the full meter travel. The Sabertooth averaged 2.6. That is almost a full second faster, When you factor in the fact that the beginner starts out faster then slows down about a 1/3 of the way through the meter travel and is really moving slowly when it reaches the ding bar it seems even slower. The Sabertooth moves at a constant speed. For players like me who use large scales for a shorter meter travel it is not so bad but players who use the entire meter or most of the meter it can be a problem.

I did send a bug report after I tested both putters. If we are paying 4995 credits for a putter with a meter speed rated at 5 it shouldn't be nearly a full second faster than a free putter.

Like you said...just because you say it doesn't make it true or fact. The game can be played but not be enjoyed too much for free, WGT equipment and balls are terrible. Maybe meter speed could be adjustable so everyone could have 3-4 or 5. The equipment is overpriced and the balls are way overpriced for as long as they last..... and if you're not careful you end up buying equipment before fully understanding that it won't be any good at higher levels. I would like to see better buy back prices and/or being able to sell equipment to other players. WGT balls at all zero's is not a good way to have fun. I really enjoy playing and you need spin to compete and have fun. Whacking a ping pong ball around isn't too much fun. In my opinion WGT standard equipment should be a driver that goes at least 250 a 3w that goes around 215 and irons that are around 110-205. The wedges are fine. And the putter could have at least 2-2-2-2 numbers. Balls maybe 1d-2s-2m, unlimited.

Just heard this on fox news .

A press release on behalf of phil mickelson announced he has put together a 5 man consortium which is ready to offer 9 million dollars to purchase world golf tour .

2 million below the asking price .

In addition phil and his backers say they would put another 3 million dollars into restructuring wgt and install a top tour pro who is about to retire as managing director .

His first objective would be to introduce 2 new courses . Carnoustie in Scotland has been denied .

Investment bankers handling the sale say it will happen within the next 10 days .

A Top golf spokesperson is understood to have started a bidding war with 4 other prospective purchasers . A Singapore based group called profitable group have confirmed interest .

But phil has hit back saying he will offer existing wgt members shares at a discounted price . 10% - 15% has been hinted at .

Top golf have grown tired of this venture and find it heart wrenching to see their long suffering members being put through the mill .

Mister mickelson will be contacting all wgt members by e-mail . So please update your address.
