I'm not sure, but I think that WGT rounds to the nearest yard, so 2 yards could be anywhere from 4.51 feet to 7.50 feet.

I'm not sure the quoted yardage is always the exact distance from the tee to the hole, it sometimes seems to be several yards off. I really notice this on St. Andrews #9 where the distance is usually around 294 yards. I frequently hit it almost exactly this but am actually 10 to 12 yards past the hole.

Maybe some holes are measured to the centre of the green?

In addition to all the other comments, you did not mention the wind speed and direction, the elevation of the green, speed and slope of green, and what hole you were on. There are a few places that play differently than others (ie, 150 only goes 142 or 150 goes 155--assuming very low wind)

since he never came backe,Its safe to assume he was either left or right of the hole near to 4 yards,hell.Ive hit a perfect 117 yard shot,the pin was 117 away.but my next putt was96 ft lol
