I have had this happen before when I first started playing the game. it soon went away and it wasn't as bad as it is now.

every club apart from wedges I am loosing distance on. I wrote everything down for a few rounds the other night. I'm loosing anything from 20 to 40 yards carry with each club.

how much distance I loose with each club depends each time I use it. my wedges seem fine and even my putter seems to be out by a yard or three.

I have made a note of shots taken from the fairway, taking in to account for wind. even with a strong wind loosing 20 to 40 yards distance is a lot.

I have removed as much crap as I could from my computer, defragged it, cleared my flash cache and made sure everything is as up to date as it could be.

anyone else experienced this, is there a fix simple difficult or otherwise?

The Thing With Using Any Club Is The Amount Of SPIN You Put On The Ball,

    less Spin= More Distance,...Practice It

I know adding spin reduces distance, but all the shots I played were played with no spin and with little or no wind to speak of. besides, adding backspin for example doesn't reduce distance by up to 45 yards. plus I don't add any spin when using a driver, but I still loose on average of 20 to 45 yards in distance.

Not sure what clubs you were using in the past, but I note that you are averaging 276 yards now and that your driver has a distance number of 280 yards. Are you saying that you were getting 300 plus yards from most of your drives with this driver? 325 yards on the flat with no wind would be an extremely well hit drive. Using the starter  ball that is now in your bag makes these number extremely unlikely.

Not that I would advise spending money or credits  that you might not have, but I know from past experience that the starter ball needs  a club longer to get to the distance numbers that are listed for irons and woods. What it really means is that if your 4i is listed at 195 you will most likely need to use the 3i with the starter ball to get that distance.

Thanks for the advice. with my driver I am lucky to get between 245 and 270 yards. maybe a little more with a decent tail wind. I have been using the starter balls for a while now but have only recently noticed the drop off in distance. I know the distance with each club will be slightly less but not by 40 yards or more. I stopped buying balls after a number of glitches caused me to lose several in one round, I just used what I had left and never bought any more. that was a long time ago and it has only been in the last few days the problem of losing distance with each club has once again manifested itself.

I got a free erin hills vapour ball last night and although that was a little better, my clubs are still hitting no where near the distance they used to.
