    @ pmm711

I don't disagree with anything you wrote.

I'm just genuinely confused by who the thinks should be moved on to Tour Champion and who he thinks should stay at Champion tier. Apparently, only "True Champions" should be in Champion tier. But I don't understand what he even means by that.

Is he arguing that those who have "manufactured averages" be moved on? Or should it just those who keep winning Champion tournaments? Those latter aren't "true Champions"?

Again, I genuinely don't understand the point he's making. If it's simply that the Tour Champion tier should begin to be populated with players, then I think few (if any) would argue with that.

It's why I put anal in quotes.  Like any of this matters anyway.  All that matters in this "game" is that you tee it up vs. another WGTer, play under the set conditions, and let the better WGTer win (honestly) fare and square.  All the titles and BS awards and stats that people worry about are f-ing meaningless.  Like I said, "...these people belong on a psychiatrist's couch".  They're warped in so many ways.

Firstly i dont care how someone makes it to champ thats up to them (real cheats excluded!)The average is meaningless to a degree as it can be manipulated by red tees etc or like me i never play red tees but play a fair few UEL games too so my average sucks..lol.

Tour champs ..should be those that have won the VT events and maybe X amount of the lesser paying tourneys/ready go's etc.Would be nice to have them move up to let us lesser mortals have a chance of winning some things.

There is a vast difference in skill at champ level. Some people have made it there goal to get to champ as fast as possible using the easiest way they can.Where others try to never make it dem sandbaggers.Everyone has their own goals in this game, but most of us know that the cream always floats to the top.Time for Tour champs i think so.

However, I do agree that it's time or close to the time where Tour Champ makes sense -- assuming there are enough Champions with the required credentials to be moved there.

    +1

If they would take the top 100 - 200 money earners and virtual tour winners to start off . Then take the top 50 every year after and add them  then it would be problem solved . Since WGT made that advancement by invitation only , they do need to start doing something . Its not rocket science but they will treat it that way .

On all points, I agree 100%.

    Well said.

I guess I don't understand why it actually bothers anyone at all.

Unless those players are bragging about their average that is manufactured, I absolutely agree.

Even then Robert, brag away doesn't bother me at all.  It'll catch up with them at some point.

There have been adjustments to the perimeters on my irons, that is foooor sure.

I have had my irons for almost 2 years and now, there is a HUGE difference in distance, control and especially getting out of the sand.

    THIS IS WRONG.

    Seems like that should work.

One consideration is they'd need to fund the new tier.  Tour champion purses should be the largest in much the same way Champ purses are larger than Legend etc, so perhaps it's not as simple as just moving players.

But...came to another thought as I was typing above and really credits are a virtual currency, so it's not like WGT needs to spend actual dollars to fund a purse like others might have to.

    True, very true.

But I have to admit that I get a bit irked when people act like they've accomplished something when indeed they haven't. It's similar to how I feel when people take all the credit for success that a lot of people had a part in bringing about. I just want to say, "Dude, a little self awareness would go a long way."

Now, clearly, I'm not perfect at it myself. But at least I try! :-)

If the Tour Champion tier opens up then i think it should be similar to getting a tour card on the pro tour and be limited to a certain amount of players.

Players should have to try to keep their tour card by what they do in the Virtual Tour or other types of Tour Champion only tournaments.

If they don't finish high enough then it's back to Champion tier they go. A bit like going back to Q school.
