Al-I used the R9 until the 2nd one came out. I used that R9 until the Tri came out. And yes, you guessed it, I used that until the R11 came out. All 3 of the TM drivers work really well and you don't have to sweat the accuracy-they all forgive nice nice. I mean seriously, how accurate do you need to be off the tee with a driver? Get in in the fairway and go from there and you can do that just fine with any of those drivers. Go for the distance, that will always trump. I miss to aim in high winds and the R9 was the best at it.

Worry about the accuracy when you get to where you need it, namely the Legend level. GL

Thank you guys very much for all the advice.  These are the things I wanted to find out. All of you have been very kind in the way you explained it to me. Again, thanks very much!

The R9 will even outdrive the R11 into a headwind.

I tried both of these I would say go with the R9 same meter speed more distance.. I am still using the R9 until i can unlock R11 at level 88 (:

Hope it works out for ya

Only the higher version of the R9 can keep up with the R11 into a headwind and I don't believe it will consistently outdrive it, you can put overspin on the R11 as well.  The R11 downwind and with winds under 15 mph or still conditions wins every time.

Did you find the Tri much better than the regular R9?  The meter looks a fair bit quicker but I manage fine with the new Burner irons which show the same speed so maybe.....

Or I guess I could wait another few months for the R11.

    Thanks.

ive been using the R9 since i turned legend ..b4 that  as a tourmaster i used the superfast burner 260yrds which has a faster meter  speed ...but higher trajectory..which serves me well....

from a legend tees...the R9.275YRDS driver couple with the legend callaway balls..is just good enough to drive mostly all the tees in ST ANDREWS in low and moderate winds..

but not good enough for bethpage and oakmont and worse still in congressional...

in very strong head winds ..above 20 to 30 mph...the 17th road side  hole on st andrews is simply unreachable.in 2...with the R9 ...u could be lucky if it reaches the front of the green in 2 shots..

as of now...i simply love the R9 ..IT MAKES MY DAY..mostly on st andrews...

will wanna buy the R11..for the higher loft..but thats  still far far away at level 88...

Yes and no. The distance was great but the way the meter accelerates in the last 1/3 of the swing makes for a bit of a headache in dinging it. It doesn't match up well with the Burners.

OK, thanks YJ.  I'm happy with the R9, just looking for a few more yards somewhere.  Guess it'll serve me well until I can get the R11.
