Hi guys, I’ve gotten this promotion in just a short time, only few months, not because of my average, but won a few credit tourney while at Tour Master. I question the promotion, because I think it was a mistake. I did not have the skill to go up against other Legends, so I quit. Now, that I try to go back in playing, but it’s very difficult being Legend. Any advice on how to learn this tough Legend tier? I have all the top equipment my at my level (92).

    thanks

It's like the way to Carnegie Hall:

    "Practice, practice, practice!"

If you name area(s) of trouble in your game, we might be able to help you!

Maybe join a good cc, they usually have lots of people willing to help you.  We have helped quite a few learn, and improve.  I sent you an invite to our club! Check us out, if you like what you see, then you'll be welcomed with open arms. If not then good luck in the future.

It's definitely a slog for awile, but you'll learn the new landing spots for drives, what to use from those spots for your second shots, and the putting will come.   You'll also get much better at flops, pitches, and chips.  They are the stroke reducers when you can either get 'em in or get the ball close enough for a gimee putt.  Concentrate on pars and the birdies will show themselves soon.

Playing now for money is out of the question. I was with one of the top CC before I left. I should find CC that’s not focus into winning everything. I guess that was my pitfall, becoming a legend, and everything went sour. Also reason for posting, maybe it’ll help me kickstart the game. I’ve done several practice rounds, but quit in the middle of it. I guess posting is the first step, involvement with the community. I’ll try one of the titleist, maybe a new toy will give a new inspiration.

Thanks for the advice and encouragement..I still have my clubs mapped out, punch, pitch etc..wish I hadn’t dumped my CDP, back to day one.

Thanks for the invite..I have not decline nor accepted, but I will keep the invitation open. I will try play a few games, and see if I can get a little bit of my game back. It’s embarrassing to join as a Legend, and even a pro can beat me at this time.

I think you're selling yourself short. The jump to Legend pushed you to the back tees with faster greens and basically turned your driver/wedge game into a more normal diver/long iron game. Those longer irons aren't going to stick as well as the shorter ones so learn your 3 4 and 5 irons and play strategically, you'll be doing fine in no time. :-)

Yeah, I’m doing some practice rounds..you’re right, Legend tier is more of a strategic shots on particular holes, rather than attack..something I’ve never done as TM.
