    YankeeJim:
I think you're selling yourself short. The jump to Legend pushed you to the back tees with faster greens and basically turned your driver/wedge game into a more normal diver/long iron game. Those longer irons aren't going to stick as well as the shorter ones so learn your 3 4 and 5 irons and play strategically, you'll be doing fine in no time. :-)

    +!

The difference in tees between TM and Legend are significant, and it does take time adjusting.

My advice to TM close to tiering up is to use a 3W from the tee - this simulates the extra distance you will be playing the approaches from. The other is to avoid red tee tournaments (not applicable in the OP''s instance).

Personally, this is when the game became a challenge again (after using starters till I made Master) and is the way the game should be.

Other advice to the OP is rejoin/join a good CC - one where the members can offer advice and help you become a better player.

Do not worry about your average, that will settle down in time, just have fun and enjoy the journey.

Think of the tiers from Hack to Tour Master as steps in Junior Golf. The Legend tier is where Adult Golf begins. And it's a better game! One that takes every club in your bag.

And absolutely, do not sweat the average. While the earlier tier progressions go by quickly, progression to Tour Legend is a long hard grind. I made Legend at 691 ranked rounds. At 3333 ranked rounds, I'm still grinding and inching my way to the next rung on the ladder.

    And yes, still having fun!

I really don’t pay attention to average. Thought I was just having fun winning  a few ready go tourney at TM, didn’t realize it will promote me to Legend even though I have not met the criteria for Legend tier. At Tour Master I shoot around -10 in ready go tourney. I turned Legend, I barely make par. I’m taking it slow, and yeah, I should just join an easy going CC.

The anti-sandbag measure HAS caught many innocent fish...

The parameters are too narrow..all encompassing atm

Can just get to learn the game, finish top 3 in the weeklies a few times and up you go...with all of  $16 earnings in some cases...

The usual 'sledgehammer to crack a nut' approach. :(
