    Duckster789:
Oakmont is available to play single player through a back door (I think... I have not tried in a while).

    How...please tell!

The backdoor was shut down by WGT a while ago AFAIK.

Point 1:  Most of WGT's revenue is is based on advertising. It is in their best interests to never close accounts. By keeping all of their accounts open they can give inflated numbers to potential advertisers about how many people will see advertising. Just scanning the list of WGT players it quickly becomes evident that many accounts are held by non-playing Hacks and Amateurs who are at very low levels.

Point 2:  The backdoor to Oakmont has been nailed shut.

Yes - it was slammed shut, probably after too many mentions on the forums about it.  I only got to play it once before the door slammed!

Dont think you can close an account. I stopped playing in 2016 and contacted CS and asked them to close/finish my account. I even had a confirmation email to confirm this.

True - this is stated in the FAQ.  You can request closing but they only deactivate - good for you!
