Tried some of the Taylormades too. The l 48 and the l 61. Both are unpredictable.

Stats are the same as the Nikes. But the balls aren´t. So far I dont like them at all.

I bought two sleeves of the Titleist L93 super vapor, love the vapor!..used a sleeve, don’t care for them. I went back to L42 Titleist, these I can work with. I’m glad that journey is over.

Found that Titleist L93 doesn’t hold the line well, must ding it type of ball, for me anyway.

I went back to L42 Titleist,

After playing the 81TM for a good number of rounds over several weeks I tried the 40 Titleist to compare. What a friggin difference! They play the same way the 81 Nikes did and I'm gagging because if I want to keep playing them it's going to cost 200 credits more than those Nikes did.  :-(

Yeah I agree, Titleist L42 is awesome. It holds the line well, even missing the mark, doesn’t go haywire. I use at least 2-3 balls a day, but it’s worth every single game, win or lose. I’m lucky to collect enough video credits to fund me these balls, otherwise, like you said, little pricey for continuous play.

2-3 balls a day? That's a lot of golf. You must be playing a ton of coin games.

Yeah, mostly coin games, and couple of rounds for my CC.

I lost couple of balls on Kiawa today. One had half life, and the next one went too..back to back, felt the tears on my face..lol..350 credits down the drain.

Thanks for the reports guys. I will eventually run out of L81 Nike’s and apparently it won’t be a seamless transition to the L81 TM ball.

I think I’ll give the L40 Titleist a try as I trust the advice of a fellow Yankee fan:)

I guess I must be in the minority here. For me, the transition from the Nike Level 81 ball to the TM Level 81 was seamless. Plays the same for me.

It depends on how close of attention you pay to the difference. I played the 81 TMs for a month. Same specs as the Nike I used to use. Nothing scientific, just a lot of AS and regular play-CC tournaments and WGT stuff. Not being a note-taker, it takes a while to get a feel for the ball.

I switched to the 40 Titleists a few days ago and in a nutshell, after just 1 sleeve,  not only am I astounded at the difference, I got the Nikes back I used to play. The difference is primarily in the 3, 4 and 5 irons. They carry as I would expect them and react on landing like I'm used to. They appear to be a bit more forgiving on mishits as I got favorable results on a few hacks.

This little exercise pretty much confirms what I suspected-the TMs are downgraded Nikes and the Titleists are the new Nikes. A whole bunch more expensive, too. The new quandry is adjust or step up to the pump.  :-(
