More exciting 'Heartbeat"

  How about if the heatbeat begins as soon as you hit the shot within a certain distance to the hole, BUT fades out while on the way based on HOW close you got. Maybe at the full ten feet from the hole, the heartbeat only lasts for 20% of the ball flight. But the closer you get to the hole, the longer the heartbeat lasts (and perhaps rises in volume or even a visual effect at the edges that increases). The ultimate expression would be a heartbeat that lasted and increased all the way to the hole for a hole-out with a fanfare at the point where it goes in? This would provide a greater sense of anticipation once the heartbeat begins as the player has to wonder how long it will last!

  wgt is  an on line golf game not an online arcade game

  Yet this 'online golf game' already has such an effect.

   

  Obviously the game designers included the heartbeat to add a sense of anticipation during the times when you've gotten the ball close. I'm simply suggesting an increase to the effect of anticipation.

  I mean, how much stronger of a statement that this isn't an online arcade game do they need to make? After all, WGT offers "special effects, like popping champagne bottle vapor trails, sparkling fireworks, or a flaming inferno."
  
  Flaming inferno! If that's not a serious statement against arcade games, then I don't know what is.

  if you want all that arcade game stuff you can get it on wgt

  why would you want it?

  i play normal balls

  the special effect balls are just for a bit of fun

  seriously would you buy any of them i would not

  most special effect balls are free i hit them in water to clear up my bag

  No, I wouldn't. I don't even play the vapor balls. I''m just saying that there is an arcade aspect to this game.

  And even if one doesn't use the special effects, the ability to score such low rounds is, in some sense, arcade like.

  To the opy, without even looking, I'd bet that you don't have a hio.  Now I don't know about pc, but on mobile, when your going to get the hio, the heartbeat starts instantly upon striking the ball, and then about half way to the hole, the commentator begins yelling, be right, go in the hole, and then it does!  Happened every time for me.   Wouldn’t know about PC. With all 15 or 16 HIO that I got I had the sounds muted. Only thing i ever heard on a HIO was in match play. My opponent said “holy $hi• Well actually I didn’t hit ear it. He typed it in chat.
