Hide club used for Coin Game tiebreakers?

  There are situations where the person hitting second for the tiebreaker CTTH is at a huge advantage.  For example, hitting out of the sand or fescue, or another rarely played surface.

  If the first player comes up 20 yards short with a pitching wedge, the second player just goes up two clubs and aims for the middle of the green and it's an easy win.

  The second player will still have an advantage, but without knowing what club the first player used, he or she will still have to play his or her own shot.

  good point there, although you never know how hard the person hit the shot or if he / she may have used a punch shot instead of a full shot. However I always wonder why on the mobile platform one can see which iron the opponent used when on the PC version it is not visible at all. I would suggest to cancel this feature completely as it also serves the same advantage on par 3s for example ....

  i really don't care what iron they use. it's not an advantage really to know.

  Several apparel items add iron distance. others add iron spin.

   

  then factor in you have no idea what power they used.

  then you have people like me that know that others do watch that and ill take more club and take off more power or as above poster said i will play a punch shot. looking at other people's clubs just is a recipe for disaster. 

  remember. golf is about your game. not the other guys.

  Going second is an advantage but only because if someone comes up in rough or bunker  then the middle of the green becomes the target.

  In addition to what others have said, both players would have to be playing the same clubs. Most likely, they won't be. 
  
  I really don't see how the second player has any appreciable advantage by simply knowing what club the other player used.

  The OP is refering to when a match is tied afterwards they are placed from the same spot to get CTTH.

  Apperently he has loss a few of those shootouts. My advise to the OP is to mapp your clubs and know what to hit to get within a couple of feet from the pin.

  Because in high winds I may use a 64 degree wedge and punch it vs pitch or flop to get that right 14 yard shot, and your opponent doesn't know your experties.

  Well, that's what I was thinking. If a person knows his clubs and what they can do, what does it matter what the other guy hits?

  Exactly!

   

  Know you own distances and you won't need to club off your opponent. That said, I prefer to be first off in a tiebreaker. Stuff one in there tight and make the other guy press.

  You shouldn’t have to worry what your opponent does. Work on your game, and that’s all you need.

  It's a single shot tiebreaker CTTH, why would you ignore what your opponent does?

  And to others, I'm not talking about tracking the opponent's clubs hit for an entire round, just for the single, identical shot. And as a I said, from an unusual lie such as 20-25% hard sand or 30-40% mulch. You don't need to be hitting the same set of clubs to know that an 8 iron that comes up 30 yards short is the wrong club.

  I suppose mapping clubs is an option, but that is an extremely tedious choice to try and find all the random lies and map every club for a lie you might hit out of twice a week. It's just frustrating to have a 9-hole tied match that comes down to guesswork for the first player on a single shot.

  Absolutely on target, everything you say is, absolutely on target.  I might add, learn course management, and strategies, for being a winner!
