It's a single shot tiebreaker CTTH, why would you ignore what your opponent does?
And to others, I'm not talking about tracking the opponent's clubs hit for an entire round, just for the single, identical shot. And as a I said, from an unusual lie such as 20-25% hard sand or 30-40% mulch. You don't need to be hitting the same set of clubs to know that an 8 iron that comes up 30 yards short is the wrong club.
I suppose mapping clubs is an option, but that is an extremely tedious choice to try and find all the random lies and map every club for a lie you might hit out of twice a week. It's just frustrating to have a 9-hole tied match that comes down to guesswork for the first player on a single shot.
