Hello bossbird. I believe what you are asking is why your club tournaments always end up with Championship tees. And I think I know where you are making your mistake.
When you first begin to create a club tournament, you begin with selecting how many rounds, then if it will be a Stroke play or CTTH tournament. You then select who will be eligible to play in this tournament. Select which course or courses you wish to play, the number of holes, be it 9 or 18, how long each round will last, either Set of the Week or not, shot clock or not, then, where I think you are making your mistake is when it comes to conditions. You want to select Advanced!!
This is where you can select which tees to use, wind speed, lies, green speeds, and hole locations. But you must select Advanced in order to be able to use all of those conditions.
