    I was playing a match the other day and the guy set up super quick shot clock for whatever reason and after I took too long twice during the match I was DQed . Thats Boolkrap it ued to be a stroke penalty now you lose the match ??

    There is no time limit irl . I see the reason it is needed for the game but to lose a match over a few seconds . I know use the timeouts blah blah blah this aint football its golf.

    When did WGT put this wonderful thing into this game ? Ive been away a while and dont ever recall getting DQed for playing golf.

    No, I'm sorry, ididnt, but that's not relevent, to my statement. Fact remains that for a little over 2 yrs, this has been the ruling.  Might be different for pc, but mobile has had this for this time period.  Good luck finding the answer to your question.

    Actually....

    6-7. Undue Delay; Slow Play

    The player must play without undue delay and in accordance with any pace of play guidelines that the Committee may establish. Between completion of a hole and playing from the next teeing ground, the player must not unduly delay play.

    Penalty for Breach of Rule 6-7:

    Match play - Loss of hole; Stroke play - Two strokes.

    Bogey and par competitions - See Note 2 to Rule 32-1a.

    Stableford competitions - See Note 2 to Rule 32-1b.

    For subsequent offense - Disqualification.

    Note 1: If the player unduly delays play between holes, he is delaying the play of the next hole and, except for bogey, par and Stableford competitions (see Rule 32), the penalty applies to that hole.

    Note 2: For the purpose of preventing slow play, the Committee may, in the conditions of a competition (Rule 33-1), establish pace of play guidelines including maximum periods of time allowed to complete a stipulated round, a hole or a stroke.

    In match play, the Committee may, in such a condition, modify the penalty for a breach of this Rule as follows:

    First offense - Loss of hole;

    Second offense - Loss of hole;

    For subsequent offense - Disqualification.

    In stroke play, the Committee may, in such a condition, modify the penalty for a breach of this Rule as follows:

    First offense - One stroke;

    Second offense - Two strokes;

    For subsequent offense - Disqualification.

    It has always been that way. The only change WGT made is when the DQ happens. When I joined in 2009 WGT would  allow you to play until the last putt before the DQ. Even if the time expired l right after the first shot wasting  many hits on your ball. Now as soon as the time expires you get the DQ. So not as  many wasted hits.

    It's pretty obvious why your opponent put in a fast shot clock, and it worked. If the shot clock is too fast, don't play.

    Cant remember the last time this rulewas enforced on the PGA tour...And you dont lose the whole match if you do violate....Just IMO needs to be corrected  .
