Unknowingly I checked the box auto purchase box for CCs thinking I could select when I wanted to purchase one. How do I get that reversed and not auto purchase the CC?

Can't you just uncheck the check box where you checked it?
Under settings on the home tab the 3rd option is automatic CC pass use. You have it on buy and use. Tap it once and it will change to off . Tap it again and it will change to use only.
