  Honestly, it wasn't a great round. Had some good winds and used my opportunities for eagle, but made at least 3 avoidable mistakes. I am sure someone will beat this score easily.

  By the way, I am hoping for some of your crazy greenspeeds for the final round, Champ! :)

  Dang I am Pacific Time and up and online at 7am(ish) no way I  am getting up at 3:45 for one of these.

  Any chance the first round can be open for 24 hours - all comers -before the first cut?

  Ed, You could have easily played as the 100 entrant cutoff didn’t get reached.

  I believe what happened is a lot of people signed up thinking they could / would play later. 

  A number of these appear to have played later in the day as when I tried and got the message "Maximum number has been reached" only about 57 scores had been posted.

  In the end 76 scores were posted.

  My guess is that the other 24 did not realize when the cut off time was; possibly only reading it was a four day tournament and misinterpreting that?

  By the way, I was not complaining merely making a suggestion for Champion to consider if / when he does this again. The idea I suggested of opening up the first round to all comers would, in my opinion, make the tournament available to more people regardless of their timezone and the time of day they play.

  To whoever asked (I'm on my phone which makes it hard to look back) I doubt there will be spots available at 7. But also if you all like the format it won't be the last one. I'm also doing this over 4 days because of the downtime so the next one will definitely be at least 5 days. Or maybe I'll start with an unlimited round to start as a qualifier. Who knows? I'm trying some stuff out right now and seeing what sticks. Thanks to everyone for their interest.

  And don't want waste a spot in 100

  Just want to know the tees wind conditions and green speeds on  the rounds

  Normally great October..tourists naffed off, everything a lot more tranquil...

  I generally refuse to play when moderated, unless exceptional circumstances 

  ( Like my CC Ryder Cup...and also explains why played so few rounds for the years here and not in Champ tier yet !!!  :D )

  Nice to see one of the Mods getting involved in discourse and trying to add some 'pep' into the game.........

  ( happened a few times over the years, with varied results...eh Pizza ?  ;)))

  That's the beauty of this tournament--it's only the first 100 to register. On top of that, the tees are all over the place and all you have to do is keep up with half of the field. The 2nd round was red tees so everybody has a decent shot. Then that score goes away and you start new in the next round. With the top 6 cashing, you have a decent chance :-)

  This format is basically giant brackets, except instead of individual matches, top 1/2 in and bottom 1/2 out.
