would still love 64 man brackets but i also like this format and looking forward to round 3. Just 2 minor problems I've seen so far.

    1. Can't seem to find what time each round finishes

    2. Leaderboard can be seen by those still to play. 31 players had posted by the time I played round 2 so I knew 57/58 would get me through ok

Bigger brackets should be on the table for next year.

    1. This is my fault and also the fault of our tools. Round 2 - 4 start when I get into the office and can make the new tournament. This is because we don't have an automated way to run this kind of tournament and I don't think we have ever run one like this before. The end times for round 2-4 is 6am the following day. Round 3 just started at ~ 7:50 and will end at 6am Pacific Nov 2.

    2. Because each round is essentially it's own one-off tournament and there's no automation moving players from one round to the next, player's are not receiving any notification to play the next round other than my forum posts and that the new round is in the tournament section. Since the feedback on this style of tournament has been extremely positive I'll be pushing the team here to make an automated way to make this.

If/When I get them to make a proper way to build this tournament I would like it so that when the first one fills a new one starts (like RGs) but only up to 5-10 so there's not some tournament at the end that has only a few entrants. I also want it so players would only be able to enter one so that the same names can't be in all of them. I hope that makes sense. I'm tired this morning :-P

    good going Champ,

few things from what i have seen.

The time between each round is to quick i would say. Its ok for the players that play every day and have a consecutive days at like 1000 lol but for the regular players somtimes 24 hours isn't enough. Not saying give them ages but maybe 48 or 72 hours would be better in the future.

Seen that some of the tee's have been all over the place. Only issue i see for this is that the lower tiers have no chance. Not saying that they should but when you have a easy tee the top players can get on with a 320 yard drive and have a eagle putt while the lower tiers cant as dont have the equipment to do so. If in the future there are a few more of these maybe have the for specific tiers. Legend +, Tour master and Master, Pro and Tour pro etc. Would also increase the time per round for the lower tier one for sure.

Will be great to see when they get it sorted so its programmed in and people can see it run smoothly. How your having to do it now is abit of a temporary way but as only way can understand.

Great to see some of the ideas being said put into place though. People want to see change, the same boring 18 hole unlimited tournaments have had there day i think and im sure many others would agree, so new stuff is a breath of fresh air! keep it up.

I need clarification for future reference...

There were a bunch of players tied after Round 2 in position 23.  If you only took the Top 25 then 5 of those players wouldn't advance to Round 3. Wouldn't you have to include the Top 30 or do you utilize a tie-breaker to get it down to 25 players?

Thanks! Since we're only trying it out I wanted to run through it quick and not have to worry about new rounds over the weekend or anything. Originally I was going to do 5 rounds over 5 days but I didn't want to run the first round when it would be interrupted by downtime.

Amazingly, unlike club tournaments, we don't have a way to accept only specific tiers or to set things up for different tiers without making it a regular tier tournaments. It's another thing we're looking to add next year. At this rate all of our dev work next year is going into everything I want.

Heh, this quite faked me out. Saw a bunch of tees I've never seen before and it cost me, like the 12th at Merion--those trees still block a shot at the green from the Red tee. Ask me how I know LOL. Was 9 under looking to move on until THAT triple bogey. C ya next time.  :-(

    Hi Champ,

thanks for this tournament format, I enjoyed it.

Over time, you can still add and fine-tune improvements.

But now the tournament stress caught up with me and I screwed it up - lol

WGTChampion said in opening post usual tiebreakers in effect.

Whether in WGT or club tournaments, the players are always posted in "tiebreaker" order.  It just is usually irrelevant except for 1st place.

First tiebreaker is back 9.  So using me as an example, I shot a 27 on back 9 in round 1 of this and showed up first among all players with a 62.  On the other hand, I was terrible on back 9 in round 2 of this, and showed up last among all players with a 58.

After back 9, as a reminder, rest of tiebreakers are last 6 holes, last 3 holes, last hole, then hole-by-hole moving forward from last hole.  If scorecards identical, first score posted.
