I know we have discussed this briefly in the past, but I would like to hear which hole you guys and gals think is the hole that is most likely to reach up and bite you. I am talking about the hole that you pray to make par and move on.

For me that would be #7 on Chambers Bay, that uphill upmountain approch shot so often comes up short or will bounce thru the green, either way you  are pitching to get as tight as posible to save par.

I am curious what holes other folks may say.

Pebble Beach #14 comes to mind - even though I try to blot it out.  I just can't stop the ball on the green on 3rd shot!

    Similar problem on BPB #4!!

The 5th at Merion immediately comes to mind for me.

LMAO, Too many to list, I can think of 20 right off the top of my head LOL

Merion 12,14, and 15 stand out, as well as every hole that will be mentioned in this thread on any given day LOL

For some reason BpB #3.  I'm either long or short every single time.

I think Merion #15, short par 4 with the front pin bedevils everyone. One of the hardest to make birdie. Above hole, tuff par save if you miss, below hole is always a chip/pitch, which can easily roll back to your feet. And if you mishit off the tee well, say hello to bogey.

As far as par 5s goes it's gotta be Olympic 16. So easy to miss the fairway if you misding or hit the tree right, and then the layup isn't easy. If you can lay up the second shot onto the fairway with an angle in, it's not a terrible hole from there.

    Merion 17th hole.

On that hole, I'm very happy with a par. If there's any wind, still haven't really figured out the distance on the right hole location.

Chambers Bay 12th hole, especially with a tail or crosswind.
