There are two different people on here that play for different reasons. One isn't the wrong or right
I'd be looking for the person who thinks competition and getting better is fun rather than the player who thinks hitting around balls not caring about score is fun.
I'd also be looking for people who are willing to learn and get better. Who would, personal schedule willing, commit to playing World Cup when it comes around in the spring.
Even if you're not an accomplished player and your game needs work in order to play, it could be fun having the goal to make either the A or B team.
It's not all about winning either it's just a general attitude towards game. Love playing skins and alternate shots.
So higher average legends or lower are welcome as long as you know this is you.
