  Hi All

  Hope somebody can throw some light on the following,

  Whittled my average down to 59.7,but over the last week or so it's started rising again!!

  I shot -7 for 9 holes and my average rose by .04!!

  It seems WGT may have increased the required number of ranked rounds for saturation.  If so, it is now be including some rounds that were higher than your previous average.

  While -7 doesn't give a clue for the average, I assume that is was a 29. Doubled, it enters average calculation as a 58. This should NOT raise your average! Alas, your recent 67 would, when the average is unsaturated.

  Q: Has your TL average ever been saturated?

  Got well over 500 ranked rounds as TL

  That should be enough ;)

  As Larry pointed out, there may have been a change in numbers causing new fluctuation. We had this before when new tiers were introduced. Alas, TL is not the highest "old" tier - why tweak it there?

  As alosso has said a 58 (29) would not raise your average, saturated or not.

  Are the CC tournaments custom course? Just in case you don't know; custom course rounds don't count as ranked rounds.

  It appears that WGT in their last update changed the amount of "ranked rounds" you have to play.

  There's another post in the forum complaining about the same thing as what's happened to me!

  Yes this may well be true but it still wouldn't mean that your average would go up with a 58.

  The reason I asked about custom courses is that it may be possible to work out how many rr's you've played but knowing what was on cc's would be neccesary, as would tracking your average with each round.

  Maybe WGT changed the number of ranked rounds for moving from TL to C up to 500 now. Not sure about this but reading a lot of different stuff the last few days gives room for this estimate.
