Phantom Friend Invite

  I received a Friend Invite from an unknown player this morning so I went to the WGT COMMUNITY/WGT PLAYERS to look him up and no such member was found. Has this happened to anyone else and is this some sort of attempt at acct hacking or is this just a glitch by WGT? Bob

  I would recommend sending all of the information you have gathered to WGT.

  I would like to add that more than likely this is harmless. I have received many phantom friend invites over the years. Some cases they can be found while others not so much. I just took it with a grain of salt and disregarded the invites followed by Decline.

  Could very well be a player that was banned for some reason after he sent the friend invitation.

  Ooh,  that's SCARY!  Ghosts haunt WGT?   Could be a player that passed away recently and he's playing WGT in heaven?

  I don't know for sure if it's still true, but before you could find banned profiles using a direct URL entry.

  or it could be when you searched you entered a wrong letter or number

  "0" zero looks like a capital "O" for example...a capital "I" (eye) looks like a small "l" (el)

  A while back there was a bug searching for players names when it had a numeral in it.

  Whilst highly improbable due to the WGT quality assurance in place, it is conceivable that the programmers may have created a bug.

  Yes I know, the likelihood of a bug is remote, but just throwing it out there.
