I have no experience with that, but I do know a HIO in CTTH does not count.
The only thing in match play that counts in your stats is a win or loss. And all a match play hole-in-one counts for is a win on that hole. And in my case it was the only hole I won in that match. Oh I almost forgot it does get you 50 extra XP’s.
Most of the stats and awards, including HIOs, are counting ranked strokeplay only.
There is a separate award for CTTH HIOs(?), but those in matchplay go unrecorded.
