  WOW .. could you ask for a better first week of a tournament ???

  While this is not Final (need 1 club to confirm) ... this one came down to 1 point with the host club squeaking out 1st place over Elite.   This proves that 10th place is just as important as 1st place.   One shot difference over 10 players ... Let's hope the next 7 weeks are just as exciting.   The rest of the league shot well also in difficult conditions.   Any 2 players could have had great rounds and vaulted their team to the top of the leader board.   

  Congrats to a few playres who scored just great .... PGABound was on fire, ChuckNSkull and StevenHarkin broke 60 ... and LOLserver, pricehcs and Penners all shot right at 60 ...

  However lots of weeks to go and as you can by the scoreboard everyone from Tour Pro's to Legends were chipping in to help their teams.

  Good luck to everyone at Oakmont this week in what might be an even tougher layout than last week.

  1 STROKE off the mark considering 10 scores from each side from The Elite CC and the Deviations. Wow is right. Fantastic scores from everyone. Lou is absolutely correct in saying, ANYONE can make a HUGE difference in the final outcome at the end of the week. Very exciting. GAME ON!!

  Week 2 continues to be anyone's match ... i've done some preliminary scoring off the leaderboard and Deviations, Electra, Elite and Transgressional are all within 15 points of each other ... with the other clubs not very far behind.  

  Don't forget to tell your members to play play play !!!!! ... Remember last week was decided by 1 stroke over 10 people ....

  Struggling to fill our informal 10 scores this week. Up to 7 only. Too many interesting tournies set up by members. And diff conditions - people pulling the plug on bad rounds etc... Not posting others finishing but being reluctant to post miserable scores.  1.5 - 2 hours in the wind at the Oak can be a daunting prospect! Still, hope to get there by close.

  Flaccus --- now you know why it's a Challenge.

  Just find it curious that out of 230 + members 10 didn't play this one even by accident.

  I'm sure you'll get them going bud.    Keep pushing and we'll see how it works out. 

  Will be interesting to see how many play Kiawah in week 3 :)

  With 1 day left in this weeks Challenge .. my informal eyeballing of the leader boards have Elite and Electra in a dead heat for 2nd place.  with the rest of the clubs trailing by a bit .. but too close to call.  

  Note:    Next Week ---  Kiawah !!!!!

  By the way ... for next week .. I'm going to post the top 10 scores for the Deviations team as they are played .... so you can check to see how your team is doing against the Host team as the week progresses.

  A great challenge - love it.

  Just got there:)! Had to trawl for the last two. We'll see this week if more than just Oakophobia was at work.

  I think this might have been said somewhere, but wouldn't it be great if something like this were automatically calculated by WGT for all the regular free comps - top 10 by CC by week/month. CCs could set up comps just referring to the results etc... and the newbie who just stumbled in... what a blast if they were recognised in this way and congratulated by more senior members... and so on....
