The ball, no matter what type will reach water,....weeds...or OB when aimed incorrctly, that's a given. All my lost balls were attributed to a late or early finger press, resulting in way too far left or right depending oon wher I was aiming!

Re WGT's new inovation ,..the ball retriever;....IMO it's a waste of time and money,....better off to improve your shot making sills,...now if they were to offer a rental of a row boat   and a weed whacker,,..I'd consider either of the two!!

    Happy gaming,..stay dry!

Hey Duwayne  I feel ya, brother. I have been Master for about a month or little more and I still experience the same thing you were talking about. I bought 10 of the $5 Nikki's and in two days 2 were in the weeds and 3 were in the water. The tee on St. Andres's is set so close to the canal that a back spin on the ball rolled it back into the water, that happened twice after I bought new balls, Not once did I lost a free ball or a 99 cent ball, only with the expensive balls.

So   go buy new balls and expect to lose at least one in the water by some fluke, such as this one. Wind direction to the East, speed of the wind 9 mph. lI held about 25 feet to the West of the pin and low and behold the 9mph blew the ball East about 75 yards and guess where it landed!  That's right in the water. Hmmm

I hear ya...do this...On #1 at St. Andrews,...before U do anything,...move the direction marker o the ctr of the FW,...allowing some leeqway for mis directional hits,...that marker is placed much too close to the canal!

Secondly,..if the pin is in front,....lay ip with 3 W or somrthig other than driver,...leaving a 2nd shot in the 90-100 yd range,....I found that driving to adistance of 30 or so yds,...a 2nd shot invariably lands in the canal!!

Learning where "weeds" and "bunkers" are located along the FW....is important,..watchdind speed and directon,  and if need be reduce power so ro;; will not carry into a hazard or weeds!

My biggest cause for lost nballs is plain forgetfulness and or late or early finger presses causing shot to stray way off the line,...practice,...and patience,....patence is one thing I lack,.so I practice a lot!!!

It's not the shot you make in most cases that lands it in the water. It's a freaked out meter. I've been playing this game long enough to know what I'm talking about.

You mean to tell me that you NEVER missed a shot due to simply pressing the mouse too early or too late??   Well you're a much better player than I my friend,..what yo're sayig is that all bad shots are due to meter jumps,....Ive been playing here since 2009,..with 9 rounds shy of 1000, ranked rounds...not counting the games played in other modes,...I must say that I've put balls in the water in ways other than a meter glitch,....WGT has many issues here  admit,...BUT pllayer error cannot be ruled out for mis hits and lost balls!

Hey mad....looking aty your stats....I have to change my wording a bit,...it's now more clear to me that it's quite possible for a player of your ability to not have mis hits due to missing the "ding" ,....by early or late mouse presses,....and I CAN believe any lost balls or way off line shots are due specifically to the"meter skips".

LOL...I mentionmed that you must be a better player than I,...welll that's now a given,....TM,...with 1,500 + rounds and a scoring avg of 61+  is in fact far better than me....and most!!!       Sorry for any misunderstandings U might have been thinking about,.....take care mate.    Jack

Hi Alex, only been member for a few months but enjoy reading all the banter on the forums pages. I read a lot about this quitting problem and just last night I thought of a possible solution to this. When you log in onto the wgt golf page where your profile is, would it not be possible for WGT to make some kind of notice saying the following'-  ALL PlAYERS please note that your average scores are only programmed on your LOWEST scores and NOT  on your HIGHEST scores so that if anyone is thinking of Quitting because of their averages please remember this notice, Regards WGT
