Driver ... then better wedges ... then a putter.

The extra yards off the tee leads to shorter approaches. Better wedges will let you stick more short approaches closer to the hole more consistently.

Then maybe think about a putter. That Starter putter served pretty damned well for a LOT of us for long  time....is it a little inconsistent? Yes, but it will get the job done if you can learn to control the distance.

Starting with a better putter is fine.. a more precise putter will probably let you make more 25-footers, but it makes much, much more sense to try to avoid leaving them in the first place, no?

Driver. When you shorten a few approaches , your then pulling short irons from the bag. Short iron approaches are then lowering your avg. distance to the pin , leading to shorter putts and  better looks at birdie.

Ace is right. Get the biggest hitting driver you can ( at the level 11 I don't know what that is), nevertheless, do it even if you must play more to unlock the big stuff. Also, go to the faster meter because you will have to go there anyway as you move up...might just as well get used to the speed as early as possible.

Wedges. If you can chip close you need less putts.
