Not playing at the moment but never ruled out getting back into it and I did enjoy it much for a good long time.
Things will evolve, but not necessarily in one direction.
I don't much care for 20 overs bash it about cricket. Trouble was not everyone could get their head around a 5 day Test Match ending in a draw either...............These days test matches rarely end in a draw and seldom run the full 5 days and the 20 / 20 stuff has a place alongside things. Both do well (minority sport way).
I am personally never going to sign in on my phone for a quick three holes, and all the boosters going are not an interest to me.
I realise the mobile side is more than boosters and I hope it flourishes. Nonetheless I prefer to get through the Pro Shop without to many sales pitches and play a round with some confidence the game is a solid and equal platform. ThePC wealth of camera angles are a huge bonus. Putting should be a 3D map with stimp and elevation clearly shown, no more. Obv multiplay is a major factor for many.
I don't know if golg is really in decline or just realigning from the boom times when innovation seemed unecessary. Like cricket I think there is room for more than one format and plurality beneficial.................
