    YankeeJim:

missing a ding slightly sends the ball way off line and a bit of back spin drops the ball 30 yards short.

Been that way since day 1. You miss, you pay. That's the price for what happens when you ding them.  :-)

Jim...Would respectfully disagree!  My last three iron sets have been the G 10's, the I 15's and now the Burner 2.0's.  The Burners are significantly more precise and forgiving than either of the others...not even close...HB3

Same here. You miss dinging the Burners and the results are less predictable than the other 2 sets. This is with the Callaway balls.

I'm still with the i15 irons I bought back (grrrrrr) after finding the Burners went South and they're way more forgiving, although in theory they shouldn't be.

I also went Rapture, G10, i15, Burner 2.0 and each was a big step up but for me, right now, the i15 are way better than the Burners.   When the Burners were new they were in a different league.

Maybe I need to clean the grooves a bit.

Hmmm.  That may be what the Callaway balls do. Since you use the WGT Legend balls there may be something here worth looking at.

Perhaps so Jim......I have not made a move to the Callaway balls. My experience with them, for shots at less than 140 yds, is that they produce many unexpected results as one adjusts spin on the ball...at the same time, I know exactly what my Burners and wedges are capable of with varying degrees of spin (both top and back) when using the WGT Legend balls...H

This is'nt the post someone like me @ L-78 who lie's awake at night dreaming of golf balls raining down from the sky should be reading. I cant wait to see the difference @ L-79 the extra loft and distance the 2.0's will make on approach shots compared to my G10's.

Its pretty obvious that all of the best players are using the new Burner's which lead's me to believe they must be the best choice, or at least worth a try at this point.

I don't see the lack of precision in these clubs at all, particularly if you hit it late. Hit a shot in to the 17th at Kiawah just there, had it been my i15s I'd have kissed goodbye to the ball in the drink. As it was it made the green comfortably.

If they bring out improved clubs better than the Burners this game will just get stupid.....

i would agree but, this past weekend something went funny with my irons as well - hit it for 180yds no spin hit the ding in 4 mph wind and only go 150-160yds - was frustrating
