Advantages of becoming 'Master'?

    Hi

    My average score has just dipped under 67 for the 1st time and i have been changed from Tour Pro to Master. I can't see any advantage of this at all and am now disadvantaged with tees further back. I haven't been moved any levels so apart from the 'prestige' of being a master is there any other benefit? Can you become Tour Pro again with a poor score? i was perfectly happy as a Tour Pro!

    Good luck to you Mav, get ready to start grinding now. I have been a master for what seems forever. Over 300 ranked rounds and still avg mostly par. I'll have the occasional 3-4 under but they seem to be the exception not the norm. Keep whacking them straight and don't let the putting cause you to break your mouse.

    Personally , I would think being able to play "almost"  ever hole on every course "Driver / Wedge" would be advantage enough.        Enjoy !

    It's all about the honor - maybe a little dimmer now that Master is no longer the top tier. The game will also be more interesting when you play from a bit farther back. You have yet more treats ahead of you when you advance further.

    Personally I wanted to become a Mistress but it seems that any advantage available to the other Mistresses I know are not readily available here.

    Perhaps Ike, you could show me a way...?

    And as for the OP, the only way is down, just like those other Mistresses I was thinking about.

    and as the wonderful Lizzie Rossetti once opined..in a post long ago lost...our tour pro days were our best days..our salad days,our golden days...

    Oh, and Zag has a good point. Honour has a lot to do with it. You might care to take advantage of any offers from other Masters to gain tips on how to play at your new Tier.

    Again I am reminded of those Mistresses. It is often honour and offer all night long for them too.

    Thanks guys! Made me chuckle! And why has my average now gone from 66.96 to 74??

    Welcome to the world of the Master, so happy to hit the tier and then you look up and see your average has made a 8 to 10 stroke jump. just keep grinding and be happy with the good spells, 'cause, at least to me its been a lot more bad than good

    the angles off the tees are different than from the girls tees so watch out!!
