I just hit level 80 and was going to purchase the 2.0 burners, but decided to hold off because of the recent hints at more clubs coming for higher levels.

Is this a good or bad idea? Part of me is itching for the burners, but I don't want to drop the dough on them if more stuff is coming, and I know I can still better my game with the G10s--there's a lot of room for improvement.

For now I bought the R9 driver, so am just going to sit with that for right now and bomb some drives.

Anyone else in a holding pattern?

You guys are wasting your time, IMO. Do you really think something better than the Burners and CGs is coming? Seriously?

I have no idea--still pretty new around these parts. But that's why I asked the question...

The Upcoming Product releases post reads: "More Virtual Equipment, especially for higher Level / Tier players" so I am wondering what else this could mean?

Are they really going to release WORSE clubs for higher levels and tiers? That would not seem to make any sense at all. Cheaper ones? That does not make any sense either--the higher tiers are  made up of a captive audience plunking down 300+ credits for a sleeve of balls on a regular basis.

Or are you of the opinion that this is just a big tease and no new equipment is actually coming?

    Well...three reasons I'm waiting Jim...(four...we won't go there;) )

    1.  The thread about the TM2's

    2.  What was previously mentioned regarding new clubs coming

    3.  Recently I've been fairing well in RG's with my G10's

To this point I don't need the CG wedges, the old pings I uses cover well with my G10's.

    PS...product update at 9pm...who knows.....

Well, then. I guess I will buy the burners--a whole iron set for the price of the one new putter. I guess new cheaper equipment was definitely not in the cards!

My putting stinks, but I don't need a new putter--I need quicker fingers and a calmer mind.

I did buy the 60yd CG wedge. Could use help from that distance.

$24 for one club! Can't wait to hear the reviews:
    Ghost Spider putter level 92.

I would suggest waiting. I have a feeling that new Pings, for example, might be on the way. The Burners are great but fast. The G10s you have right now will see you in excellent stead as you advance up to Tour Master and even Legend. New irons might match the R11 driver and woods in terms of superb accuracy and a little extra forgiveness without having a meter speed that is any faster than the G10s.

For a hint, you can look at the websites of the real world golf club manufacturers, for example the latest Ping models which will probably be added in here at some point - perhaps replacing some older equipment as it is phased out in real life.

PS. Re the new Ghost Spider putter, I notice there is a lower-level version that has some great characteristics but also has a very slow meter and is a lot cheaper than the high-level ones.

Phax, don't discount the free Beginners putter. If you need faster finger reactions, then this club can help immensely. There is some apparent inconsistency when you need to use the 60 and 150ft scale but with practice on approaches, you may find that that becomes rare and also that you get used to it and accommodate it in time. This putter also takes all the stress out of trying for a ding, if dinging is your method of choice, in that the meter movement is smooth and even throughout its travel and does not speed up as it approaches the ding marker.

The author would like to make clear that other putters are available with similar looking attributes, better colours, a negative number financial outlay and that all comparisons may or may not be exclusive to one or more persons. Its just they are the scrapings from the bottom of a dirty barrel in comparison is all.

Also, other learned opinions are available. Bite me.
