  TBR Titans Vs Nova A cup semi, fmags wins 3&1 Vs Sin

  Cracking match with Sin. I managed 16 birds in 17 holes yet really struggled to shake him off. All seemed well 3up on 15, then Sin holed out for eagle to keep things sweaty. Wonderful play Sin, and thanks for a great, friendly game.

  Semifinals Plate

  Cosa Nostra v Black Diamond

  BigKnight v Jacktrade<Tom> (filling in for Smiks1)

  Tom grabbed an early 1up lead with a nice birdie out of the rough on 1

  We both birdied 2 and 3

  His approach on 4 was little off and my birdie there squared us back up

  I won 5 (that nasty back pin) with a par

  I Birdied 6 and 7 and then holed out for eagle from 61 yards on 8

  After a birdie on 9 we turned 5 up

  Birds halved 10

  Birdied 11 to go 6up (Tom was having NO luck with his putter)

  Halved 12 with pars

  Tom won 13 with a nice birdie

  Tom won 14 after HOLING OUT FROM 180 YARDS....brilliant shot

  I was finally able to close out the match with a birdie on 15 to win 5up

  BigKnight (#317)  defeat jacktrade51 (#181) 5&3.

  Short version … he is the better player.  By my count, he was -12 in the 15 holes we played, including -11 in the first 12 which (after I saw the rest of his game) inexplicably included a par on #1.  And he might have gone to -13; he was in a good spot but never got a chance to putt on #14 since I holed out from 178 yards.  He was fun to play and it was also fun to watch the exhibition.
