  I had the same discussion with Paul last year, but I chose not to raise/re-argue this year.  Personally, my favorite is bogey/worse = 0; par = 1; birdie = 2; eagle = 4; dble eagle  = 6.  I do not agree with a reward for an HIO as you suggested; it's the same as an eagle.

  Enjoyed the game very much. Ross is a true gentleman and I enjoyed his company. He played WAY better than the final score indicates. I've never seen so many great putts slip on the edge or rim out, as I did tonight. If just some of his robbed putts had fallen, there could have easily been a different outcome.

  Sorry guys, forgot to post this last night.

  Group 3 Round 3 Match 2 Tie 6

  136 1irony defeats 111 JMugsy1 by a score of 53 pts (55) to 52 pts (56).

  Front 9 was fairly mistake free with a par on 8 from me, pars on 1 and 4 from John, and matching eagles on 5, with the rest filled out with birdies. John got off to a rough start on the back 9 however, with a bogey on 10 and a par on 11, resulting in him being 4 strokes down, but gained 3 strokes with eagles on 12, 13, and 18. We both parred 14 and I was unable to capitalize on any of my 4 eagle chances on the back 9, making 8 birdies on the back, but it was enough to hold off for a 1 stroke/point victory after 18. John played fantastic and was unlucky to run into me on a good day, although it could have looked very different in his favor if some of the putts he just barely missed had dropped. Top notch lad and a pleasure to have a match against. GL moving forward!

  Round 3, group 5, match 2...

  Sean - tiptopTOPPIN (#335) wins with a 55 to my (#213) 50. Sean shot -19 and was on fire the whole game! Wish I was a little better competition for him but was not wearing my game face this morning :(

  Thx for rd Pete it was a pleasure, wow what a fun rd it was, I needed an Eagle on 18 for the win, after Pete almost hit a DE on 17 and i was lucky enough to save birdie, we went into 18 all tied up 50-50.....Although we both couldn't find alot of dings Pete did make a great Eagle chip in on 13. Again ty for the rd Pete and GL in the rest of the competition..
