I played Cabo-Del-Sol for the first time yesterday in a ready-go, and thought it was a fun course, but still a bit cartoony for my liking.  I played another round today, and heck, the damn course has grown on me so much i'm even ignoring the cartoon graphics and i'm having a fun round.

I was one of the purists and was complaining when it came out, i know its not a scratch on courses like Oakmont, St. Andrews and all the other HD photo courses, but to play in ready go's and for a fun round Trugolf courses could fill the gap until new WGT courses are released.   Personally i wouldn't pay 100 for a round, but having them in ready go's it's not so bad as you pay 100 anyway to enter ready go's.

And looking at TruGolf's website, the courses they have for their golf simulator is immense, Carnoostie, Gleneagles, the 3 St Andrews courses, Pebble beach, Pinehurst.  Imagine all these for us in ready go's, (cartoon graphics or not).

I dont expect WGT to turn to trugolf courses in future as their HD courses are best around, but it wouldn't hurt to add 3 or 4 trugolf courses just as a extra bonus courses to keep us from getting bored with the 6 they have in HD.

I think that was the WGT plan.  Back in April MrWGT made this post and said in part:

    MrWGT:

The new TruGolf courses are a new option to help address all the requests for more courses than WGT is able to produce on its own. The development of these courses is done by the TruGolf team and we’ve worked very closely to match the game experience, physics and equipment performance. We can now add TruGolf courses quickly and Cabo del Sol will be the first of several new courses in the coming months. Naturally, there will be improvements to the technology and aesthetics based on your feedback. For example, we’re not satisfied with the appearance of the sand and 2nd-cut rough but didn’t want that to hold-up making the courses available.

    It's 5 months later.  Aren't we overdue for a 2nd TruGolf course?

Maybe WGT players have voted with their spikes to give TruGolf a rousing send-off?

Cabo del Sol is a fun course. Need to make it available to more players. Such as for creating tournaments in a Country Club. If money is needed, just allow TruGolf courses as premium tournaments in a Country Club, starting at maybe 10cr entry fee. That way wgt and trugolf get their 20% cut of entry fee and lots more play for golfers not up to shelling out 100cr and are not yet competitive for Ready-Go.

The cartoon graphics are a nice change up.

Where's Augusta National, I'll take either wgt or trugolf.

I'd also support more of them, even if they are as easy as cabo, its just very much fun like this.

    Cheers, Hans

Whilst I agree very much with the sentiments all of you have expressed regarding this course, I cannot see any major financial benefit to wgt or TruGolf in additional courses being added if they are only ever going to get played in RG tournaments.

I'm sure wgt will see a small increase in players deciding to pay to play the odd round on them but there's just no way players are going to pay to play courses when they have perfectly good ones available for free.

The only exception to that would be if they were to launch something like Augusta National and to a lesser extent Pebble Beach or something like Wolf Creek. I know I would happily pay to play Augusta, even if it were in cartoon form. For this to become a habit though it really would need to be the absolute cream of the crop of world golf courses.

Am I to understand there is no green fee to play Cabo in a Ready Go?  Just the 100cr RG fee?

Yes thats right, but If you play it in match play challenge you have to pay a greens fee. And it sure seems like everytime I do random MPC search I end up @ cabo lol.
