    broahes:
I've seen this a lot.  I much prefer to have wedges that stop, rather than hit rewind on the green.

I feel the same.  I don't ever try to back up my wedges.  I try to hit them so that they stop within a yard or two of where they hit.  For example:

64 degree Cleveland (L80) from 34 yards on in, I will play full shot with full backspin.  Usually, this will give me 1-2 yards of forward at landing, so I try to drop my shot 1-2y in front of the pin.  However, it seems when I am above 34y, the backspin will back the ball up, so if I am 35y or farther from the hole, I play no BS.  I never play BS with my higher wedges, until I get to PW.  PW and higher I will play BS.  But I never hit a shot with the intention of backing the ball up.
