honestly as long as i ding my shot ,I haven't noticed any distance change with any of my clubs,Saying that ,missing the ding by even the smallest of margins have seemed to produce more punishment than in the past. Now I am just spit balling here,so no hate mail please, but is it possible with the insane low scoring [ consequently sprouting accusations of unproven cheating] is it possible that WGT is, making scoring more difficult and therefore more realistic, tightened the missed ding to a greater level? I noticed a missed ding not only veers further from the mark than a similarly missed dings in the distant past. Also the clubbing distance   on missed dings are decreased more so than in the past. There is less room for error, could be an attempt to make scoring  low more difficult   therefore a more realistic to the real  sport?.Miss the ding and you pay .I reiterate, this is just a postulation, with all the thinking people on this site ,I'm wondering what your experiences are. Please no more graphs!!!!!LOL

I've been puting my recent "form" down to a bad part of the deviation cycle.  As such, I just keep churning out rounds in the hope it'll improve. lol  Last round (allbeit only a 9) did play pretty true so maybe (touch wood!) I'm through.

If your theory is correct, that could be good and bad.  Good if it is harder for all and sundry.  But bad if there are cheats with magical dinging helpers or whatever - as they won't notice.

When I'm on form and in the groove I'd back myself to beat a cheater (unproven but I can't help but think they're out there).  But if we get even more punished for the ever so slightest miss then mmmmm.  I can have rounds were I never miss a putt ding - being the slowest - but I've NEVER had a round were I dinged even 9 out of 10 other shots.

The mythical  'ding locater'! I 'm uncertain how that can be achieved [ I  am very green in the computer alteration area]If indeed it is possible can it be utilized in practical application undetected?I'm certain this has been discussed before ,but I have never seen one . As an after thought how satisfying would it really be to have a cheat program?Personally ,it would strip  all the entertainment value from the game and even if it was available I wouldnt even consider it.My only external aids are a ruler and an math.Maybe someday this myth will either be proven truly  a product of over active imaginations  or a ghastly fact.Unfortunately ,I believe if the WGT gurus ever discovered a ding cheater code, they would remain silent as a scandal of epic proportions would bring down the game.....The  CONSPIRACY lives on!!   LOL

Personally i think WGT have tampered with the accuracy of the burner irons (& maybe cleveland wedges) because pretty soon i think there are new (maybe legend only) clubs coming out so they want these new clubs to be the best so are lowering the precision of the burners on the 'fly.

    Just a theory.LOL

i really want to use the burners, but i am so leery= as the faster meter value coupled with the inconsistent meter smoothness makes me wonder if i'd be better off with or without them.Awhile ago i had tried the i15's and i had some difficulty with them.I suppose the jury is still out with me.

MisterWGT once swore up and down that they didn't change the clubs. I believe they don't simply because they don't have to. There are too many things that they can do to the game as it is that will, in effect, change the clubs'  results. If they were to leave the clubs as a constant and used the game as the variable you could argue that this creates a real golf environment where adapting to current conditions is what makes a pro a pro.

I think you're thinking in reverse, Chris. Rather than changing the ability of the club they create conditions where the club isn't going to be as good as the newest and latest. Right now the Burners are the best and don't seem to be any more difficult to use than when they first came out. I, however, have good days and not so good days.

They need to be careful with the tightening, Like Scotty said to Kirk, dammit Jim, I can't give her any more she'll blow.  I don't know why that came to mind, sorry.
