Whats  the deal with the new Obama 2012 Election ad on here?  Thought we were playing golf here and NOT worry about electing our next president?

If I wanted to read about them kinda ads I'd read Newsweek. Thought the game of golf remained politically neutral...guess NOT!

    Hi

we don't control the ads. in fact, I think they are tailored specifically for you (some of them anyway), because I seem to get a lot of ads for ribeye and porterhouse steaks!

Without a doubt they are. It's done with those tracking cookies all the advertisers plant on your computer. You can be browsing around looking at stuff and then come here and see ads for what you just looked at.

Well that's pretty dumb. Where's the money in that? You should have used dog choke collars or better yet, maybe one of Cameron Diaz' old chokers. Have some imagination.

if that's the case I shouldn't be getting any banner ads, I wipe my cache, temp internet files and cookies before I log in to WTG. I personally don't have a problem with the ads on the profile page side of the site but I don't see the point of them on the score card or game play side. Nobody in there right mind is going to stop playing their game to click on a banner ad. I also know for a fact that many of them are the major cause of meter lag everyone has been complaining about due to internet cache being flooded with ad crap.

I ignore and no longer even notice them. The only way I could stomach anything from Obama, without moving away at light speed, is if he offered a dozen Callaway legend balls.
