It plays the exact same way but to me the graphics are better .

Explain to me please how the graphics are better since they are using the same original pics with a certain fixed resolution. I would like a technical explanation please. This is an image based game not a CGI. Changing brightness/contrast or  tweak the gamma or sharpening the image, does not make the graphics better.

I didnt do any of those things you have mentioned . That may be why the game looks different to you . I play on a laptop with a 19" monitor and the only thing that I adjusted was the resolution and screen size . Also my laptop is barely a year old with AMD Radeon Vega3 Graphics .. You may like a technical explanation however Im not a technician .

No one said that it was a CGI other than you . Now troll along since you have nothing positive to add to the thread . Oh maybe you might want to upgrade your graphics card since your visuals look like crap . Have a nice day . :-)

You don't have the slightest idea of how this game works. You don't have the slightest idea about resolutions, graphics, scaling, calibration, cropping but you still call me troll for something I DIDN'T SAY!!!!

I am using a 570 AMD card and i know what i am talking about. You are the one who doesn't have a clue what i am talking about here.

    Congrats!!!

I didnt say that I did know how the game works . Im not a technician and have never claimed to be . I said " The game plays exactly the same way and TO ME the graphics are better " . Now unless you work for WGT you dont know any more about the game than the next person . You also dont know what I know and Im not going to go around with you . Like I said you want to troll and thats all you`re doing . Since you still havent added anything worth while to this thread but your ranting and temper tantrum .

Have a nice day . Go outside and get you some fresh air you`ve been cooped up inside for too long .

My dear friend, you are absolutely wrong. The new game uses the exact same original images, the ones which we were using on flash.

    Nope, sorry, not at all.

That's exactly what I said. The game is using the images that are embedded within the original game. Nowhere did I say they were using different images.

If they were able to use those original raw files which they shot, the game would look a whole lot different than it does now, of course the game would also take an enormous bandwidth hit.

Browsers don't do scaling, not with respect to image processing. Same word, but totally different.

There is a way to use high res images which are not embedded directly within the FLA flies of whatever you're working on in Flash, but you would never do it in something for internet streaming, the network load is insane. If WGT used that method in order to stream really high res course images so the game looked amazing? It would never play. You'd have so much lag and so many timeouts.

They didn't do anything to the images, the game looking 'nicer' is simply a byproduct of Unity, the fact that the game is utilizing more video card and monitor capabilities.

It's not a bad thing if you don't know how something works. I asked you politely WHAT exactly is better for YOU in the new version and you called me a troll + to change my set up. I go the discussion to the technical aspect (about obviously you have no idea) and you still keep calling me troll. I explain what they have done with the game and you say that i have to be a wgt employee to understand some obvious things. I said that this is a pic based game and NOT a CGI and you sustain that i said the opposite.

Did i miss anything of your exceptional analysis about how this game is running?

Oy, don't I know it. 11 years using that method and totally clueless now. Hack Central on the greens.  :-(

That’s funny. . . .10+ years for me and I never noticed avatar moves while putting.  Nor heard of it til about a month ago.

I’m not smart enough to figure out avatar movements. Putter Pal works for me:)

Since i am ''trolling'' here and you provide all the knowledge to people who read this thread, take a look of these 3 videos and if you understand some basic things, we can discuss further to see who's the troll in here...

LOL, the movements are the same thing, you still have to figure out what each mark's value is on the PP, the lines just replace the moves for me.

What made the moves nice was you never took your eyes off the screen so it was easy to get the "feel" for a roll. Translating those moves to marks on the PP is the order of the day now for me.  :-(

Yeah and it works . The best way to learn it is to go to Bethpage and practice putting . As you draw the putter back the avatar will start to move in the backward swing .Each movement will equal 7ft. if memory serves me right . Using the movements will help to dial in the distances when putting .

The distances will differ between the male and female avatars as well . But once you learn them your putting will be pretty much spot on . Now with the new PCEA version those movements are gone . So now the putter pal comes in real handy when putting . I used the avatars movements when playing the flash version . Its how I learned how to putt but now I use the putter pal on the new version .
