  No spectacular shots to recount and some sketchy putting, but I'm very happy with my round at Erin Hills, a course with more than a few pitfalls to stumble over.  Thanks, everyone, for your kind words of encouragement after my round at Pebble.

  Since I play with my mobile (early this year), I have been writing down all my results in my excel sheet, I also calculate my real game average (without taking into account the Country Club games from easy tee). So Oakmont 18 until today I played it 3 times, my results were 70-75-68, with the expensive balls that I use now (because I need a meter speed of 5 or more, playing with my mobile), my goal was 68 (- 2).

  My result this week at Oakmont was 5 birdies and 1 bogey, 66 (-4), this is more than good for me, I keep making progress.

  Congratulations to last month's winners and thank you again Brett for this tournament throughout the year.

  Ah! ... I also calculate my average using the last 150 scores (not with easy tee), right now it is 66.83

  Week 18 at Oakmont -6 (64) nothing crazy slow to start run of birdies in the middle of the round and no bogeys - par save on 9 out of the bunker was a relief.

  What an AMAZING performance by freddydivit!!!

  In the final two rounds he posted 59 and 63 to crush the field by 8 strokes. Just how good was his play? HIs final two rounds were both personal best gross scores on Pebble Beach and Erin Hills! WELL DONE! CONGRATULATIONS! The 5 Tour points for first place, balls, and 1st place trophy are on their way.

  mingos01 collects 4 points for his great performance and 2nd place finish. 633kiki and regie7900 had an exact tie for 3rd place, and will each receive 3 Tour points for their efforts. Awards are on their way.

  The rest of our Top Ten, receiving 2 Tour points each. For those who ran out of fingers when counting the Top Ten, this is due to an exact tie for 9th place with 3 players. There was one more player at -16, just missing the tie by .20.

  

  The May Day Challenge has started! We are at Oakmont for the opening round.And just like that, it is over.

  Wow, it's great to have this victory in my first S.S. WGT Tour event!  Thanks for the very generous comments, Brent; I think no one is more surprised with this result than I am!!  There are so many legitimately great players on this tour and I know my final score was newbie-handicap aided, but I'm really happy that I was able to finish with a couple of pretty credible scores and get the win. I'll wear the Green Jacket for Simpatico Springs with great pride!

  Oakmont is my favorite course and it doesn't show with my 65 lol. Anyway, I am very happy to find its autumn leaves after a long disappearance.
